Monday- Friday: 10am-5:30 pm Saturday: 10am-4pm Sunday: Closed As I write this column I am so excited because we are only two days away from loading the moving trucks. This has been quite a process that began in May when our landlord sold the building. The new landlord approached me about finding a new location, as he wanted to move his business into the space. I agreed to end my lease 1 ½ years early and now it s finally time to begin our new journey. I have been very excited to hear how thrilled everyone is with our location choice. There are so many positives to this area. I hope we will see many friends when we open Thursday, January 22 at 10:00 AM. We will have an official Grand Opening Sale February 13 & 14. Page 3 has some of the details, but more will follow in future emails. There are still some spots left for the Sip N Sew Tea Party. Anna will share with us embroidery techniques and sewing techniques. This is a great way to learn hands on without having to bring your own machine. We will provide machines, supplies, food, and fun. Anna will also be doing some things with the Brother Scan N Cut. I hope you can fit this fun event into your schedule. A Year of Love..A Year of Fun is a collection of Snippets from Sandy small projects. For just $30.00 you will get 13 color patterns and 13 recipes. I ll make the recipe for you to try each month at Demo & Dessert. We ll have kits for you to purchase for each pattern. If you can t make it to Demo & Dessert, you can pick up your pattern any time after. Our BOM Moonlight Sonata is a show stopper. I know you ll love this quilt. Sign up anytime and the kits will be ready in early February. I have been stitching away on the new Hoopsister BOM Sewn Seeds. I will have some of the months on display when we open. Check out page 5 for all the details. We have updated some programs, so be sure to read through the monthly gathering page. March is National Quilting Month. Our class schedule is in the works so watch your emails Many of you enjoy sewing for charities. Create with Embroidery We ll be taking a couple months of with our move. Create with Embroidery will return in March with some new projects from different embroidery designers. We re going to take a little break from Anita Goodesign. Returns Friday, March 6 Project demoed at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm Cutting Up at Noon We re taking a short break with our move, but we ll return in March. Join us over the noon hour for a quick demo of a new ruler (or maybe a new product). You re welcome to bring your own lunch or just stop in and visit while you see our new item for the month. Door prizes, contests, food-you never know what to expect each month! We ll provide some tasty snack while you learn about new products, machines, or fabrics that have arrived in the past month. Receive a 10% discount on any new items highlighted that day. Year of Love...a Year of Fun patterns will be handed out each month at Demo & Dessert. Tuesday, February 17: 1:00 pm or 6:00 pm PhD (projects half done) Study Hour PhD is for anyone who has unfinished projects less than 50% done. Register your unfinished projects by bringing them to the shop on Thursdays between 4-6 pm. Each time you complete one of these projects, you may enter a drawing to win a $25.00 gift card. Drawing will occur twice a year in June and December at our PhD party. Finished projects will be check on Thursdays between 4-6 pm. We will take your picture with your finished project and post on our Facebook page. Sign up is required each week to reserve your sewing space. There is no charge. Thursday, February 12, 19, & 26: 11am-5 pm Simple Whatnots Simple Whatnots is a seven month club of miniature quilts (nothing will be bigger than 40 square). Each month we ll meet to talk about the next project. Claudia will share tips, tricks, and new products. We ll have coffee, snacks, and show & tell. To join the club, simply purchase the Simple Whatnots fat quarter tower. If purchased before February 28 the tower is only $79.99. After February 28, the tower will be $91.00 Tuesday, March 10: 1 or 6 pm Stitcher s Society Stitcher s Society is a group for hand embroiderers (beginners and those with experience). Each month we ll be learning new stitches and making gorgeous wool appliques on hexagons (wool, cotton, or flannel backgrounds). At the end of the program, you can turn your hexagons into a quilt or use them in smaller projects. This club will meet the 1st Wednesday of each month for the next 12 months. The complete program is a one time fee of $180.00 Wednesday, February 4: 6-8 pm 2

Sewn Seeds Embroidery Block of the Month Lynda and Annie have done it again with this outstanding quilt. Choose to do the on point Premier Quilt or the Sampler Version. Each month you will get the files for both. Each block is pieced, quilted, and decorative stitched all in the embroidery hoop. The Premier quilt (108 blocks) uses seven fabrics and the Sampler (64 blocks with optional Border CD) uses five fabrics. Stitcher s Society Stitcher s Society is a group for hand embroiders (beginners and those with experience). Each month we ll be learning new stitches and making gorgeous wool appliques on hexagons (wool, cotton, or flannel backgrounds). At the end of the year you can turn your hexagons into a quilt or use them in smaller projects. At each meeting you ll receive: A brief history of various products related to stitching A packet of 15 motifs to hand applique onto hexagons. One small project pattern Three-four stitch cards. One yummy recipe card The cost of the club is $180 and includes: 180 total motifs 44 stitch cards 12 small project patterns 12 recipe cards Binder with dividers to hold your motifs and recipes 2 hexagon rulers We will also have wool bundles, wool threads on pre-wound bobbins, and other notions to purchase as you need them.
