Harn Impaz Visual User Guide. Introduction Overview The Harn Impaz Visual Package from Solid Setup adds the White Harn Impaz Standard drawers and Inner drawers (Rollouts), and the Harn Impaz Office (Black) drawer and File drawer to Cabinet Vision Solid. It provides drilling for the drawer box parts, the cabinet ends and the drawer front for CNC output. It also adds 3d graphics for the drawer sides, runners, galleries and inner brackets etc. The runners and brackets etc are added as a separate parts and materials for reporting purposes. All material descriptions contain the Harn order number after the # symbol. Side Extends can be added via attribute for MS or HS-Height Impaz Standard drawers. Screw on and Plugin versions are included for Impaz Standard. Front brackets can be switched between screw on or press in.(impaz Office is Press-in only) Impaz Office Black is a 450 deep drawer, with 85 high or 85+File and uses steel backs in 2 standard widths, and requires a 3mm thick bottom panel. Impaz Office has an attribute to switch on the Cross hanging rails for the file drawer if required. You can choose which type of screw on bracket and which type of press-in bracket you normally order The graphics can be turned off per cabinet if having them on causes too much lag on slower computers. Turning off the graphics does not alter the reports or CNC output. Included in This Package Drawer Guide Schedules: Harn Impaz SE PL S,T,MS,HS Impaz Single Ext, Plugin bottom with S T MS & HS heights Harn Impaz SE PL S,T,MS,HS Impaz Single Ext, Plugin bottom with S T U & V heights Harn Impaz SE SC S,T,MS,HS Impaz Single Ext, Screwon bottom with S T MS & HS heights Harn Impaz SE SC S,T,MS,HS Impaz Single Ext, Screwon bottom with S T U & V heights Harn Impaz FE PL S,T,MS,HS Impaz Full Ext, Plugin bottom with S T MS & HS heights Harn Impaz FE PL S,T,MS,HS Impaz Full Ext, Plugin bottom with S T U & V heights Harn Impaz FE SC S,T,MS,HS Impaz Full Ext, Screwon bottom with S T MS & HS heights Harn Impaz FE SC S,T,MS,HS Impaz Full Ext, Screwon bottom with S T U & V heights Harn Impaz Office Blk FE Impaz Office Black Full Ext Harn Impaz Office Blk SE Impaz Office Black Single Ext Page 1 of 14

To use the Impaz drawers in a job you must make the following selections: In the job or room properties the Cabinet Construction tab should have the Drawer Box set to Harn Impaz Drawer and the Roll Outs set to Harn Impaz Inner as shown here: In the Hardware tab, choose one of the Harn Impaz guide schedules: Select an SE schedule name for Single Extension or FE for Full Extension guides. Then select PL for Plug in bottoms and SC for Screw on bottoms (bottom drilling is the same, with 3 holes at the front of the bottom on each side, but the order codes on the reports are different.) Lastly, choose form the 2 height combinations S,T,U,V or S,T,MS,HS.. S,T,U,V will only allow the 4 non gallery height drawers to be selected automatically, depending on the drawer clearances. S,T,MS,HS will always use MS and HS (S85 with 1 or 2 Gallery rails) instead of U and V height drawers. All other extra gallery combinations (T117,U149 and V213 with 1 or 2 Galleries) can only be selected by changing the drawer guide material on the drawer required as explained in the next section. Side Extends are activated by attribute on drawers with Galleries as explained later on. NOTE: - Gallery rails and Side Extends are not available on Impaz Inner drawers (Rollouts). In the Materials tab, you can choose any of the Drawer Box or Roll Out schedules you have set up for other drawers as long as the materials selected are suitable for Harn Impaz. Page 3 of 14

Impaz Office Usage General Impaz Office drawers Come in Black colour only Have the S 85mm high x 450mm deep profile only Have steel backs in the standard 85mm height or the 282mm File drawer height. Come in two widths only (see below) Require a 3mm material for the base (Ensure your drawer box material schedule is setup this way) The back material in your schedule is ignored, as the UCS will assign the correct material and code for ordering purposes. Steel Backs When Impaz Office has been selected there are only two drawer box widths that can be used: 1. 332mm (internal cabinet width of 363mm) or a 395mm wide cabinet with 16mm ends. 2. 390mm (internal cabinet width of 421mm) or a 453mm wide cabinet with 16mm ends. 3. We have allowed for a +/- 0.5mm tolerance to these widths to be acceptable. If the drawer box is not either of these two widths, the steel back and hanging rails for the file drawer height, will be removed from the drawer, as a warning that the drawer width is out of range. You will need to ensure that the drawer width is either 332mm or 390mm for them to re-appear. Menu Selections for a Job or Room. To use the Impaz Office drawers in a job you must make the following selections: To use the Impaz Office drawers, set the Drawer Box to Harn Impaz Office In the Hardware tab, choose one of the two Harn Impaz Office guide schedules: Select the SE schedule name for Single Extension or FE for Full Extension guides. In the Materials tab, you can choose any of the Drawer Box schedules you have set up for other drawers as long as the materials selected are suitable for Harn Impaz Office. For Impaz Office the drawer bottom material MUST be 3mm thick, not 16. The back material in your schedule is ignored, as the UCS will assign the correct steel back material and code for ordering purposes. Menu Selections for a Cabinet. To use Impaz Office drawers in a cabinet when Impaz Office has not been selected in the room or job the Construction, Materials and Hardware tabs for the cabinet in question must be set to the same selections as above. Page 6 of 14

To access those menus for one cabinet, take the cabinet into the cabinet editor, click on the section view, and select the Properties tab to find the menus. To use the Impaz Office drawers, set the Drawer Box to Harn Impaz Office In the Hardware tab, choose one of the two Harn Impaz Office guide schedules: In the Materials tab, you can choose any of the Drawer Box schedules you have set up for other drawers as long as the materials selected are suitable for Harn Impaz Office. For Impaz Office the drawer bottom material MUST be 3mm thick, not 16. The back material in your schedule is ignored, as the UCS will assign the correct steel back material and code for ordering purposes. Menu Selections for one Drawer/Rollout. To use Impaz Office drawers for one drawer/rollout when Impaz Office has not been selected in the cabinet, Take the cabinet into the cabinet editor, click on the section view, and double click on the drawer to bring up its Properties menu, and then select the Drawer Box tab. The Construction tab should be set to Harn Impaz Office if it is not already. To Change to a different guide type press the change button shown here: Use the Search tab and a keyword to quickly find the guide you want rather than paging through materials.. The four types of Impaz Office guides are named like this: ImpazOfc Blk FE 85 x450 ImpazOfc Blk FE 85Fx450 ImpazOfc Blk SE 85 x450 ImpazOfc Blk SE 85Fx450 Here are some keyword examples: Ofc =All Impaz Office guides 85F =Impaz Office File guides SE 85F =Impaz Office Single Extension File guides Etc etc Page 7 of 14

Cross Hanging Rails The Harn Impaz Cross Hanging Rails can be added to any File Height drawer. Click on the drawer or rollout back in an orthographic (smiley face) view of the cabinet editor. Tick the Cross Rails? attribute in the left sidebar to True. The Cross Hanging rails selected will be added as shown. They will appear on the reports for ordering. Drawer Boxes Drawer Box Height Control When a drawer is first added to a cabinet, Cabinet Vision will always choose the tallest drawer that will fit from the drawer guide schedule, based on the available space. The space is determined by the distance between any cabinet or internal parts directly behind the drawer front, minus the drawer guide material top and bottom clearances. To select a smaller drawer height, click on the drawer front in the section view. Increase the Top Clearance in the sidebar until the drawer height you require appears, like this: NOTE: If you are using a drawer leveling UCS (which moves the top drawer boxes up to match the bottom lip reference of the bottom drawer), this may cause those drawer boxes to interfere with an object above them, Page 8 of 14

whether it be the next drawer front, the cabinets top or top stretcher or a drawer stretcher or some other part which would normally not be in the way. This occurs because the leveling UCS is applied after the drawer height selection has been calculated. To prevent this always check every drawer in the cabinet editor, (preferably with the graphics turned on so you can clearly see any part interference), and reduce the drawer box height using the Top Clearance as described above. Drawer Box Depth Control When a drawer is first added to a cabinet, Cabinet Vision will always choose the deepest drawer that will fit from the drawer guide schedule, based on the available space. To select a smaller drawer box depth, click on the drawer front in the section view. Choose the Box Depth from the dropdown list in the sidebar as shown here: (Remember Impaz Office is only available in 450mm depths) Rollouts (Impaz Standard Only) Rollout Height Control To add a rollout in the section interior view of the cabinet editor, add a Split Horz and then select it and change it to a Rollout Tray in the left sidebar. Or use the Split Multi Horz function and choose the Roll-out Tray button and then press OK. In version 5, when a rollout is first added to a cabinet, Cabinet Vision will choose the height of the default drawer guide material set in the material schedule which we have set to the S height (85mm) rollout. In version 6 or later, when a rollout is first added to a cabinet, Cabinet Vision will choose the height based on the tallest rollout that will fit from the drawer guide schedule, based on the available space. To select a different rollout height, click on the rollout in the section interior view and use the sidebar. In Version 6 or later choose the height from the dropdown box provided as shown here: Page 9 of 14

c In Version 5 type in the heights listed here to select the height 1. 85mm will select an S Height rollout 2. 117mm will select a T Height rollout 3. 149mm will select a U Height rollout 4. (There is no 213mm V height rollouts for Impaz, only drawers) NOTE: The actual heights of the inner drawer are slightly more than the above measurements due to the taller front brackets etc. This may cause the inner drawers to interfere with each other or another cabinet part. To prevent this always check every rollout in the cabinet editor, (preferably with the graphics turned on so you can clearly see any part interference), and reduce the rollout box height using the method described above. The actual overall heights of the rollouts are as follows: 1. 106mm for the S Height rollout 2. 140mm for the T Height rollout 3. 170mm for the U Height rollout Rollout Depth Control When a rollout is first added to a cabinet, Cabinet Vision will always choose the deepest rollout that will fit from the drawer guide schedule, based on the available space. To select a smaller rollout depth, click on the rollout in the section interior view. Increase the negative Depth adjustment in the sidebar until the size required is selected, as shown here: Rollout Setback We have provided a UCS which handles the rollout setback. It adds an attribute to the rollout back which is accessed by clicking on the part in an orthographic (smiley face) view of the cabinet editor and appears in the sidebar on the left. Page 10 of 14

By default the rollout setback is set to 9mm. This means it is setback 9mm further than a drawer would be. This is enough for the front brackets of the rollout drawer to clear the door. (when a rollout is first added, the cabinet may need waking up for the default setback to activate) (To Wake Up a cabinet go back to the room, click on the cabinet and press Enter on your keyboard.) If you need to change the setback simply type in a new value (which is instant and does not require a wake up ) To change the default for all future drawers Refer to the Drilling Setup section below Note: In version 6 and later, there is a new Set Back setting under Adjustments, in the section view. It can also be used to push the rollouts back into the cabinet. Unfortunately it has no default (it is initially set to zero when a rollout is added to a cabinet) and therefore requires every rollout added to be setback by the user. If you are happy to use the new feature you can set our rollout setback public variable to zero (see below). If you prefer to keep using our UCS then just ignore the new Set Back adjustment in the section view. (Please note that if you use both features together, the values from both will be added together for the setback.) Turning off the Graphics Cabinet Attribute On any cabinet containing a drawer or a rollout there will be an attribute called Draws Detailed? This attribute allows you to turn the 3D graphics on or off for the drawer box parts. This is because having the graphics turned on can cause too much lag on slower computers. Turning off the graphics does not alter the reports or CNC output. Page 11 of 14

Drawer Fronts Screwon Room Attribute The Draw Front Screwon is a Room attribute which will change all the drawer front mounting holes to screw holes and change the front bracket material to the screw mount bracket for reports and ordering purposes.(this function is ignored for Impaz Office drawers, as the front mounting holes can only be Press-in) Drilling Setup UCS Public Variables There are 21 Public Variables in the { DRAWS }-- Harn Impaz Attributes UCS. To change these variables go to the Utilities Edit User Created Standards from the Plan or Elevation views Then click on the { DRAWS } -- Harn Impaz Attributes UCS. On the top right hand side of the screen you will see the Public Variables list: Each set of holes has a diameter and depth value. Box Bottom = Holes in the Drawer box or Rollout bottom for the drawer side profiles (Plugin and Screwon). Front File = Holes in the Drawer Front for the Impaz Office File Drawer Hanging rails. Front Knockin = Holes in the Drawer Front for drawer side brackets if Room Attribute Draw Front Screwon is False. Front Screwon = Holes in the Drawer Front for drawer side brackets if Room Attribute Draw Front Screwon is True. Guide Cabinet = Holes in the Cabinet ends for the Drawer or Rollout Guides. Box Back = Holes in the Drawer box or Rollout back for the drawer side profiles. Rollout Front = Holes in the Rollout front for the inner drawer front brackets. Rollout Setback = The default rollout setback amount. Page 12 of 14

If you re system is set to mm, Edit the values in the Imp() brackets to the diameter and depths you require. If you re system is set to inches, simply replace the whole imp() with the imperial measurement instead. Eg: Imp(3) might become 1/8 Note: To turn off any of the holes if not required, like the box bottom holes for example, set the depth to zero. Note: The Impaz Office drawer ignores the Box Bottom, Front Screwon, Box Back, and Rollout variables as it has a steel back, a 3mm bottom, no front brackets and no Inner drawers. Drawer Front Bracket Selection The Last 6 Public Variables are used to select which screw on and knock in front bracket you wish to appear on your reports for ordering.(impaz Office does not use a separate front bracket, so this section is ignored) For Knock in front brackets (when the room attribute, Draw Front Screwon is false), choose only one of the following four bracket types, by setting its value to 1 leave the others as 0. Brkt Expansion Clipon? = Clipon Expansion brackets (codes: RBF.18040.NIL and R) per drawer Brkt Expansion Std? = Standard Expansion brackets (codes: RBF.13240.NIL and R) per drawer Brkt Pressin Clipon? = Clipon Press in brackets (codes: RBF.17040.NIL and R) per drawer Brkt Pressin Std? = Standard Press in brackets (codes: RBF.12240.NIL and R) per drawer For Screw on front brackets (when the room attribute, Draw Front Screwon is True), choose only one of the following two bracket types by setting its value to 1 leave the other one as 0. Brkt Screwon Clipon? Brkt Screwon Std? = Clipon Screw on brackets (codes: RBF.16040.NIL and R) per drawer = Standard Screw On brackets (codes: RBF.11240.NIL and R) per drawer Once you have changed these values to your requirements, you can close the UCS editor. Vertical position of drawers We have positioned the Impaz drawers according to Harns recommended position, which will place the drawer guide holes in the ends for the bottom drawer, 102mm above the cabinet deck for 85mm drawers, or 134mm for 117mm, 166mm for 149mm and 230mm for 213 drawers. We have achieved this by setting the Minimum Bottom Clearance in the drawer guide materials to 5.mm. This will give approximately 4mm clearance between the cabinet deck and the bottom of the drawer guides and can be seen when the Drawer Detail is True.
