There are many intangible benefits that come from spending some time knitting. Once you get beyond the initial learning curve, knitting and crocheting can lower heart rate and blood pressure and reduce harmful levels of the stress hormone cortisol in your bloodstream. It can help alleviate some symptoms of anxiety, stress, and depression. Unlike meditation, however, craft activities result in tangible and often useful products that can enhance self-esteem. So come and join us for a fun, casual and relaxing time with us knitting at The Old Creamery every Friday morning at 11:00 and enjoy the benefits! Pictured are a recent group of knitters working hard at having fun! Definitely no stress in this group! The doctor said I needed more fiber so I went directly to the quilt shop!
