Happy Ch PROJECT 1 3-D Star of David MATERIALS Template (next page) Two sheets of cardstock paper Stapler Scissors Markers, Glitter, or stickers INSTRUCTIONS 1. Trace the star of David and base on two separate pieces of paper, or make two copies of the templates 2. Cut out two stars and two bases 3. Decorate with markers, glitter, or stickers 4. Cut a slit along the dotted lines 5. Staple the two stars as shown 6. Staple the two bases as shown 7. Fold the stars and the bases following the fold lines 8. Unfold to create a 3-D 9. C rafts 3 PROJECT 2 3-D Dreidel Use the 3-D Dreidel as a gift. It can be a decoration and a game! MATERIALS Template (next page) Scissors Glue gun Card stock paper or any thick paper Markers, glitter, or stickers to decorate Straw (1" piece) INSTRUCTIONS 1. Trace or photocopy the template on cardboard / cardstock 2. Decorate the large circle (cone) and the small circle (top) with colored markers, glitter, or stickers 3. Cut (the radius) along the dotted line of the dreidel cone. 4. Slide the longer part of the circle over the shorter side until you reach the mark. A cone will take shape 5. Glue 6. Cover the open end of the cone with the small circle 7. Fold the tabs of the small circle over the side of the cone 8. Glue the tabs 9. Glue the straw in the center of the dreidel top as shown in the picture When your dreidel is done, you can fill it with chocolate gelt, a small dreidel, and the directions to play the dreidel game. C rafts 5 PROJECT 3 Reverse Image Chanukah Card MATERIALS Template (next page) Scissors Glue gun 2 sheets of cardstock paper Colored pencils, markers, glitter INSTRUCTIONS 1. Trace the menorah or make a copy of the template on card stock paper 2. Cut out the menorah starting at the center dotted line under the base of the menorah 3. If you cut carefully, you will get two images: a positive image (the menorah), and a negative space which is the reverse image the menorah - Keep both if you can 4. Color the menorah 5. Fold the second sheet of paper in half 6. Glue the (positive image) menorah on the front side of the folded sheet of paper 7. On the inside of the folded sheet: Color one side using colored pencils or markers 8. Glue the menorah cut out (negative space) on the colored area - the colors will show through the cutout menorah 9.
