Input unit Compact unwinder able to accommodate a reel up to 360 mm in width, 800 mm in external diameter and 76 mm in internal diameter. Semi Rotary die-cut Semi-rotary die-cutting Lamination Exclusive innovations in Semi-rotary die-cutting The semi-rotary die-cutting unit with gearless technology is completely controlled by servo motors and equipped with devices that ease the operator s work. A Cartes proprietary system (AGS) allows the operator to adjust the cutting depth (also while working), without the need to balance the pressure on the magnetic cylinder by the use of OEM devices. Air Gap System (AGS) The innovative AIR GAP SYSTEM electronically manages the position of the anvil cylinder, adjusting the distance between the die and the material thus controlling the cutting depth with extreme accuracy. By simply setting up the die cutting tool height and the backing liner thickness and then following the instruction showed on the electronic display, it is possible to get perfect die-cutting from the first cycle. The system is complete with safety features that prevents the possible breaking of the die caused by a wrong adjustment and minimises waste. Image Distortion System (IDS) The IDS software allows the use of dies created for cylinders with different repeat length. Moreover, the software can lengthen or reduce by up to 20% the die-cutting length, whilst keeping the inert-label gap constant. Thanks to this is possible the use existing flexible dies as well as to obtain a wider range of shapes with the same flexible die

It is now possible to die-cut dark printed labels avoiding the typical and unsightly white edge. Moreover, the same system prevents adhesive from overflowing out of die-cutting label edges (glue bleed). Thanks to the ILC system there are no limits in processing materials with extremely thin liners (a few micron thick) including films, die-cutting and stripping impossible shapes or even linerless materials like IML labels.
