High-performance offline die-cutting systems complete the range of products.
Roll advantage I Most of carton production costs are caused by paperboard. Purchasing rollstock can save you up to 0%, which drops straight to your bottom line. This is a clear advantage of inline production. Roll advantage II Nesting of blanks across and in web direction allows for an endless layout and maximum utilization of the substrate. Offline type Finishing of cigarette packaging is a typical application for the offline version. Preprint webs are processed in a separate production line, which may also include value-adding processes like hot foil stamping, rotary hot foil embossing and braille embossing.
The Gallus FCL 670/850/00 Powerful performance for high throughput The flatbed cutters of the Gallus FCL series are synonymous with powerful performance and precision for medium and long run lengths. When converting paperboard from roll, the Gallus FCL sets the standard for productivity and throughput. Job storage and recalling of machine presettings reduce setup times to a minimum. The Gallus FCL is the flagship of the Gallus flatbed cut line portfolio and has proven itself over the years, whenever long-term performance and reliability are paramount. Features The Gallus FCL is fully servo-driven and available as an inline or offline version in three working widths (670, 850 and 00 mm). Repeat adjustments can be done at touch of a button, without gears. Web direction is from right to left. At first, the web is conditioned, then creased, embossed, cut and in the end processed as sheets. Cutting waste is removed by the stripping drum and then vacuumed away. Up to eight lanes can be separated and delivered onto a shingle conveyor. Each lane can be upgraded with a single blank ejection in combination with a 00% inspection system. Stacking devices are available upon request. Strengths Cutting forces between 200 and 300 tons allow sophisticated applications. A patented infeed section at the cutting unit ensures precision web control and guarantees tight-tolerance register accuracy. Maximum web utilization by single-knifing and nesting. Up to 2,000 strokes per hour are possible. A high degree of automation and memory of job data minimize setup times at order change. Adjustments can be made on the fly: e.g. adjusting the cutting-die to the counterplate. Rage of application With the Gallus FCL all common paperboard types of thicknesses up to.030 can be processed, whether virgin or recycled board, laminated or not. The three types available are very well suited for medium to long runs, including high volume cigarette packs, medium cosmetic runs and multipacks. The die-cutting module is the heart of the Flatbed Diecutter: solid, powerful (up to 300 tons), fast, highly precise and smooth-running. The FCL combines a number of unique technical features, such as the patented infeed section for an accurate feed into the die-cutting module.
The Gallus FSM 50 The economical solution for short runs In the growing market for short runs, the Gallus FSM 50 is an ideal solution for economic production of small cartons. It perfectly compliments the inline machine system Gallus CCS 50. Powerful features in a compact size. Features The Gallus FSM 50 is exclusively available in a working width of 20. It is fully servo-driven, without any format gears. Web direction is from left to right. The infeed and the die-cutting section are followed by an optional available window stripping unit. Stripping is done by special pins. Inside the separating unit, the blanks are separated from the waste matrix. The delivery section de-nests blanks and delivers them to a shingle conveyor. A stacking device is available on request. Strengths Today short runs call for low die costs, low waste and fast makeready times. As matrix-style Diecutter, the Gallus FSM 50 sets the standard for small and rugged die-cutting machines. When producing folding cartons without windows, the Gallus FSM 50 requires no additional stripping tools, resulting in lower costs and faster set-up times. The machine has a maximum length of 236, without a stripping unit. When adding a window stripping unit, the entire length would be approx. 35. Range of application All common paperboard grades of up to.024 thickness, virgin or recycled, laminated or not, can be die-cut on the Gallus FSM 50. Though designed for the inline-operation with the Gallus CCS 50, the Gallus FSM 50 can be integrated to other machines as well.
