DO NOT USE ANY TYPE OF POLISH OR WAX THAT MAY CONTAIN ABRASIVES. STAINLESS STEEL PRODUCTS CAN BE CLEANED WITH MILD SOAP AND WATER. STAINLESS STEEL POLISH SHOULD BE USED TO POLISH SMALL SCRATCHES. 1. Remove contents from box, verify if all parts listed are present and free from damage. Carefully read and understand all instructions before attempting installation. FIGURE 2 DRIVER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET 2. Start installation at the driver side. Locate the mounting location on the frame for the driver side bracket (item 2). Figure 1 Mount the bracket to the frame with (2) M8 hex head cap screws (item 11), (4) M8 flat washers (item 13), (2) M8 lock washers (item 14), (2) M8 hex nuts (item 12). Figure 2 Do not fully tighten at this time. 3. Insert the M10 bolt plate (item 6) into the slot on the bottom of the frame. 4. Attach the driver side support strap to the bolt plate installed in step 3 with the M10 flange nut (item 10). Figure 4 Do not fully tighten at this time. FIGURE 4 DRIVER SIDE SUPPORT STRAP 5. Follow steps 2-4 for the passenger side. Figure 5 Note: The passenger side bracket has a small V shaped notch on the back top edge. 6. Note the mounting location of the contour bar to the brackets and mark the lower valance where it needs to be trimmed. Using a 2-1/2 hole saw, body saw, or sharp utility knife, trim the valance to clear the bar ends. Figure 6 Use extra caution when trimming the painted lower valance on the GMC Denali. With assistance loosely install the contour bar (item 1) to the mounting brackets and support straps with the M12 hex head cap screws (item 7), M12 lock washers (item 9), M12 flat washers (item 8). 9. Level and adjust contour bar and tighten all hardware at this time. Figure 8 Shown with optional High Performance LED lights purchased separately (Westin part #09-12007). Apply foam tape (item 19) to front and back of the tab facing where it mounts to the tube. Figure 9 3. Using the supplied hex key tool, button head cap screws (item 16), lock washers (item 17), and flat washers (item 18), attach the bracket tabs (item 15) to the threaded inserts in the bottom of the cross tube.
