Premiums and Special Awards Premiums Grand Champion: $10 & a rosette ribbon will be awarded to the best entry in Youth Garden Show, Youth Flower Show, Youth Culinary Arts, Youth Home Arts, Youth Hobby Crafts, Youth Literary Arts, Jr. Arts & Youth Photography. Best is defined as that which demonstrates the best technique and skill as determined by the judges. 1st place: $5 & blue ribbon 2nd place: $3 & red ribbon 3rd place: $1 & white ribbon Special Premium Awards $10 & a rosette ribbon and $5 & a rosette ribbon will be awarded to the first and second entries that the judges determine warrant special recognition. These awards are sponsored as follows: Youth Edible Houses: Margi Domme Overall Youth Quilt: Fox Trailers North Idaho Quilters Award The North Idaho Quilters Guild will award first place NIQ ribbons and $20 cash prize to Best Overall Youth Quilt. The winners will be determined based on work on construction, use of color and design, and application of hand or machine quilting. People s Choice The public may vote daily on all quilts displayed in this department. Winners will be chosen daily and awarded a rosette ribbon. No cash will be awarded. Voting will stop at 6 pm on Saturday, August 27.
