INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH PROTECTOR () Instll new roof side grnish protector with the 4 clips. Doule-sided Adhesive Tpe B135014E01 B135013 2. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR OUTER GARNISH () Engge the 5 clips nd instll the front pillr outer grnish. () Tighten the nut. Torque: 5.0 N*m (50 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lf) 3. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH Use the sme procedure s for the RH side (See Pge IR-43). 4. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY Use the sme procedure s for the RH side (See Pge AV-113). 5. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP PLUG Use the sme procedure s for the RH side (See Pge AV-114). 6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP Use the sme procedure s for the RH side (See Pge AV-114).
52 EXTERIOR ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING B135040 7. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING RAINER Use the sme procedure to instll ll the roof drip side finish moulding retiners. () Instll the roof drip side finish moulding retiner. Torque: 5.0 N*m (50 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lf) 8. INSTALL WINDSHIELD OUTSIDE UPPER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY () () (c) Clen the windshield glss. (1) Using scrper, remove the dhesive from the windshield glss. (2) Clen the outer circumference of the windshield glss with non-residue solvent. Do not touch the windshield glss surfce fter clening it. Using rush or sponge, pply Primer G to the contct surfce. Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more. Throw wy ny leftover Primer G. Do not pply too much Primer G. If Primer G is pplied to ny res other thn those specified, wipe off the primer with clen shop rg or piece of cloth efore it dries. Apply dhesive. Adhesive: Toyot Genuine Windshield Glss Adhesive or the equivlent (1) Cut the tip off the crtridge nozzle. After cutting off the tip, use ll dhesive within the times indicted in the tle elow. Usge time frme: Temperture Usge Time Frme 35 C (95 F) 15 minutes 20 C (68 F) 1 hour 40 minutes 5 C (41 F) 8 hours (2) Lod the seler gun with the crtridge.

Do not drive the vehicle within the time indicted in the tle elow. Wer polyethylene gloves when performing steps nd void hving direct contct etween the dhesive nd your hnd. Refer to the lel on the dhesive for further precutions. () Clen the vehicle ody. (1) Using n industril dryer, het the tpe remining on the pinted surfce to soften it nd peel it off with moo scrper. (2) Clen the surfce using shop rg or piece of cloth soked in non-residue solvent. () Apply dhesive. (1) Lod n dhesive crtridge into n dhesive coting gun. (2) Remove the cp from the dhesive crtridge nd pull the lever of the gun. Mke sure tht the dhesive comes out of the nozzle tip ( 2 outlets) uniformly. (Confirm y pplying dhesive to crdord) (3) Pull the lever gin nd pply dhesive to prt of the crdord where it hs not een pplied efore. The mount of the dhesive pplied in this step should e greter thn tht required 0.5mm (0.02 in.) (4) Using pddle, mix the dhesive 10 times. (5) Apply the dhesive, with uniform thickness of 0.5 mm (0.02 in.), to the surfce of the hrdening tpe on the clip. (c) Set the clip in the predetermined position on the pillr nd press in until extr dhesive protrudes eyond the sides of the tpe (20 N (2kgf, 4.4 l) x 2 seconds). Specifiction: Are Mesurement 2.5 to 3.5 mm (0.098 to 0.138 in.) 2 to 3 mm (0.079 to 0.118 in.) (d) After pressing the clip, leve it for the predetermined time shown elow nd then instll the moulding. Amient tempertures nd recommended leving times: Temperture Leving times 5 to 10 C (41 to 50 F) 1 hour or more 10 to 15 C (50 to 59 F) 30 minutes or more 15 to 23 C (59 to 73 F) 30 minutes or more 23 C (73 F) or more 15 minutes or more
