J. Jones PASSED BRICS SYSTEM UPDATES Capt. Franke, Technician Miller 1.725 million PTT's year to date 11 radios have been sent to the depot this year. 12/31/2018 is last of depot repairs. Annual maintenance should be paid as soon as possible. This affects the co-op purchase that you participate in. Status on the upgrade project. There will be further updates at the May meeting. Update on the G4 deployment project. Extended warranty valid for all devices purchased prior to 3/31/2018 SECRETARY UPDATES R. Miller, Secretary Butler County Police Chief's Assn does not currently have an appointed representative to the board. Chief Jones reports that Chief Joel Herzog, West Chester PD, will be the Butler County Police Chief's Assn. Representative/ Co-Chair. COMMITTEE REPORTS PSAP, Mgr. D. Dick Ongoing discussions with interoperability with OSP. Discussion on the OHIO PSAP mandates. LE, Chief J. Jones There is no formal committee in place at this time. Follow up on the 9COM meeting Tuesday and the future of the XTS series radios. FIRE, Chief T. Thomas Discussion on the fire mains in the F bank of the radios. Tabled to OLD BUSINESS. 1 Kenwood Demo radio has been placed on the system. There have been no identified issues so far. There are 2 additional radios being delivered for testing. 4 Motorola radios are currently on the system being tested. Future maintenance on non APX6000XE radios will have to be mandated to BRICS from the Butler County Commissioners.

PLAIN TALK, Not currently a sitting committee SUBSCRIBER FUNDING/ STRATEGIC PLANNING, Chief M. Mercer Discussion on the scope of the committee. User fees etc. HOSPITAL/HEMS, R. Burke This committee focuses on interop with the hospitals and the air medical units we work with. No formal report to present, they will be meeting soon. Will be discussing hospital security departments and operations on the BRICS system. Fire/EMS training is ongoing for the new MCI plan that was adopted. OLD BUSINESS Discussion for back filling stations, automatic mutul aid and communicating on non dispatched agency FD Mains. Chief Thomas- Opening up the FD Mains will help with issues of back filling fire stations, Automatic Muatual Aid Responses (AMARs), etc. Capt. Franke discussed the Advisory Board history of not allowing transmit on the fire mains. Motion by Capt. Franke to enable "TRANSMIT" on the FD MAINS based on the local PSAP controlling the talkgroup giving authorization. Second by Chief Jones Discussion - Mgr. Dick, can we add discussion on other dispatch centers tones. Capt. Franke, this can be dealt with seperately. Roll Call Vote Franke YES, Dixon ABSENT, Bressler ABSENT, Mercer YES, Police Chief's VACANT, Dick YES, Langmeyer YES, Gabard YES, Jones YES, Warrick YES, Meyer YES, Rosenfelder ABSENT, Curlis EXCUSED. PASSED This will be forwarded to the PSAP committee to finalize. NEW BUSINESS Board members received the HSR Region 6 Tactical Interoperable Communications Plan (TICP) via email. All region 6 groups need to adopt the plan. BRICS will publish info to the board on this prior to the next meeting. If there are any questions you have please send to us. There will be a vote at the next meeting. GOOD OF THE ORDER Capt. Franke- County Adminstrator Young has asked us to look at maintenance of the XTS/XTL series radios in the future. Chief Prinz- discussion on mobile radios. Can a mobile radio be installed in a staff vehicle to save the cost of 2 portables? Chief Thomas- are the public works radios at end of life also? All XTS/XTL series radios, the 1500/2500 series went out of support at an earlier date. The letter to local CEO's included all of the XTS/XTL series radios. G4 UPDATES 100 receivers have been deployed 15 additional on order 5 year warranty upgrade expires 3/31/2018 Warranty will be 2 years with an extra charge to bump to 5 years.
