Remember to bring your quilts and projects you have made. Showing and Sharing is so much fun! The new Year of Love Club is starting and we will again be handing out the patterns at Demo & Dessert. Kits will be available. Youth sewing is a great activity for girls and boys alike. Projects are from the book "I Can Quilt". We will make each project in the book throughout the year. Youth sewing is the third Saturday of each month Snippets from Sandy from 1-4. Check page 2 for further details. We have Anita Goodesign's Wonderland Event scheduled for March 18 and 19. Quilt It Learn to Quilt At the end of the 4 sessions, you will have learned the basic skills of quilt making: fabric selection, rotary cutting, accurate piecing, and adding borders. Come to the first class prepared to purchase your fabric and tools. 20% discount will be given for purchases made in first class. No experience necessary. BYOM Class fee of $75 + supplies and book. 4 Sessions: Wednesday, Feb. 1, 8, 15, & 22: 10 am-1 pm Learn to Use... QCR Mini by Sew Kind of Wonderful This month we will learn to use the "New Mini Quick Curve Ruler". This month we have a kit for you that includes the ruler and fabric to make a 14" x 35" runner. Cost of the kit is $28.95. Class fee is $15.00 (we will have some fabric for you to test out the ruler before you cut into your runner fabric) BYOM Monday, Feb. 15: 2-4 pm Travel Pressing Board/Ruler Pocket Learn to make a pressing board with a handy pocket on the back side for carrying your rotary cutting rulers. These make great gifts for your quilting friends. We will supply all the fabric boards you need. Additional supply will be given upon registration. Class fee $15.00 Wednesday, Feb. 17: 1-4 pm Pansy Wool Candle Mat If you've been curious about wool projects this class is for you. You will learn how to appliqué with wool and hand embroider using 4 basic stitches. Let's get our pansy's blooming and on the table before spring. Purchase of kit and pattern is required for class. Class fee is $15.00 Wednesday, Feb. 10: 1-4 pm Miscellaneous Quilting Pouch Print your fabric panel and pick two coordinating fabrics to make this cute little stand up pouch. Bring to class your pattern and supplies. We will have the fabric panel printed for you and show you how to do additional printing at home. Supply list given upon registration. Class fee $20.00 Thursday, Feb. 18: 1-4 pm Stitchin with Wool

Sewing Machine Explore Your Sewing Machine Explore the features and stitches of your new sewing machine. You will stitch samples, learn the functions of your machine, and basic cleaning. Open to Baby Lock, Brother, and Viking owners. No charge for machines purchased at Rae-Bon; $50.00 for others. Private classes on other brands may be available at a $75.00 charge; call the shop for details. Bring your machine, accessory feet, foot control, power cord, spool of thread, and bobbin. Saturday, February 6: 10:00 am - Noon Embroidery Basics (for all machines that do hooped computerized embroidery) This class will cover the basics of machine embroidery which includes machine functions, thread selection, stabilizer selection, and positioning designs. Open to Brother, Baby Lock, and Viking owners. No charge for machines purchased at Rae-Bon; $150 for others. Bring your machine, embroidery arm, power cord, embroidery foot, 4 x 4 (or 5 x 7 ) hoop, and spool of embroidery thread. Saturday, February 6: 1:00-4:00 pm Beyond the Basics: Baby Lock Destiny & Brother Dream Owners Each month we will expand our knowledge of these top of the line machines. No charge if you purchased your machine at Rae-Bon; $60.00 to others. The next meeting will be in March. Explore your Scan N Cut Learn the basics of using you Scan N Cut. The class will cover scanning a pattern, cutting multiple pieces of a pattern, scan to cut a design printed on fabric, how to use every scrap of fabric, using built in templates, and more. We will discuss how to get your fabric ready for the Scan N Cut. No charge if you purchased your Scan N Cut at Rae- Bon; $50.00 to others. Bring your Scan N Cut, all mats, and accessories. Fabrics will be provided in class. Monday, February 8: 4:00-6:00 pm Class Policies Call or stop in to sign up and pay for the class of your choice. Class fee is due when you register. Phone registrations (701-433-7203) accepted only with a charge card payment. The class supply list will be available when you register and pay for the class. Supplies are not included in the class fee. Please have supplies purchased before class. Kits required are available at the store. BYOM means bring your own machine. No photocopied patterns or books will be allowed in classes. We consider your enrollment to be a commitment by you to take the class and we in turn make a commitment to the instructor. No cancellations are allowed on classes. Thank you for not asking us to make exceptions. Your sewing machine or serger must be in top working condition before you arrive at class. Students whose equipment is not working properly disturb and slow down the class. We service all brands of machines and sergers so come see us prior to the start of the class. If you get together a group of 2 or more friends, we would be happy to setup a class date and time just for you.

Create with Embroidery This month we will be using the new Anita Goodesign CD Winter Word Clouds. Create these beautiful mini quilts in a few easy steps. CD includes 10 designs, the Snow will be done in class. Design requires a 6 x 10 hoop. Purchase the CD for $29.99. Fabric supplied for those bringing their machines and stitching in class. Bring threads in various colors of green, blue and red. Also bring white thread and white bobbin fill. Tuesday, February 16: 1:00 pm or 6:00 pm Happy Hoopers The anniversary pillow is a pretty, practical project showcasing beautiful embroidery. Learn to center embroidery on a color block pillow while adding texture with crosshatch quilting. Bits of lace romance this project while cording adds a polished look. Class fee of $10.00 includes embroidery design and instructions on CD. You must have a 5 x 7 hoop. Supply list given at registration. Bring your embroidery machine and basic sewing supplies. Friday, February 19: Sew with us at 11:00 am or 6:00 pm Simple Whatnots Simple Whatnots has come to an end. This is the last meeting of the club. Please bring some or all of your simple whatnot quilts to show and share. We ll have door prizes and snacks. We are anxious to see what everyone has to share! See you there. Tuesday, February 9: 1:00 or 6:00 pm Youth Sewing This year we are going to work through the book I Can Quilt by Carolyn S. Vagts. Purchase of the book will be required for class and book must be brought to class. Each month we will be completing a different project. Students may pick and choose which months they want to attend; they are not required to attend all 12 classes. The class fee will vary by month depending on the amount of fabric used as all fabric will be included. Use of an embroidery machine will also be included in the class fee. Treasure Bag In February, we will be making a treasure bag. A Nine Patch will be pieced and then we ll turn it into a bag. You ll even learn to add a drawstring. Class fee of $15 includes fabric, thread, and use of our machine. Saturday, Feb. 20: 1-4 pm

Summertime Sampler Wool Block of the Month The wool block of the month is a six month program. We will meet once as an introduction and then you will be able to pick up the pattern each month. At the end of September we will meet for a wrap up party to show off what you ve made! The club will start with a meeting on Saturday, March 5 from 11am-4 pm. The day will start with a demo on how to cut your wool appliqué using the Brother Scan N Cut; this will include a small take home project. Cindy will also show how to cut your appliqués using freezer paper. Block 1 will be started in class and four basic embroidery stitches will be taught. A light lunch will be served so you can enjoy the day stitching. Bring your colored wools to class prewashed and felted. Each month you will pick up two patterns. To get started with the sampler pick up your kit in the shop. Radiant Reflections Batik Block of the Month This new block of the month from Marcus Fabric uses 36 gorgeous batiks. Each month you ll receive the pattern and a layer cake to complete a few blocks and cut some of the border. The program is 9 months. This is a quilt along where you follow the instructions given to you each month to make the appropriate blocks but you have no idea what the end quilt is going to look like! How much fun does that sound!? This BOM will begin in January 2016 and run for 8 months featuring Mon Ami fabric collection by BasicGrey for Moda Fabrics. You will receive all fabric needed to complete the top and binding at sign up. Each month you will receive a part of the pattern.
