Louis Berger staff members currently supporting the World Trade Center Redevelopment program were invited to a luncheon to learn more about the Professional Women in Construction association. Louis Berger s involvement in higher education programs includes fellowships, scholarship and merit award programs around the globe that reflect more than $200,000 in annual commitments.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS NICHOLAS J. MASUCCI As the chairman of Louis Berger, Nicholas J. Masucci is responsible for overseeing the company s long-range vision and strategic programs. Masucci began his career with Louis Berger pioneering the development of analytical techniques to assess the impacts of major public works construction projects, including several early New Jersey Turnpike widening programs and the Peacekeeper (MX) Missile program. He most recently served as the firm s president and CEO and previously headed its economics and environment segment and oversaw the U.S. operations segment. Masucci also established VMS, Inc., a Virginiabased firm providing infrastructure maintenance management services, before returning to Louis Berger as its CEO. He holds a bachelor s in political science from George Washington University and a master s in urban planning from Rutgers University. D. JAMES STAMATIS, PE In his current role as chief executive officer of Louis Berger, D. James Stamatis provides strategic direction and financial oversight of the corporation and its operating companies. He most recently served as president of Louis Berger International, and prior to that led the U.S. operations segment under Louis Berger Group. Stamatis joined the firm more than 25 years ago and has held a number of leadership roles, helping to develop and expand the firm s eastern U.S. practice and serving as principal-incharge for a range of complex infrastructure, facilities and environmental projects. Stamatis attended Pennsylvania State University and completed his undergraduate studies at NJIT. He is a licensed professional engineer in 10 U.S. states. ERNEST A. PORTFORS, PHD, PE Dr. Ernest A. Portfors is a member of the Louis Berger Board of Directors. He served as chairman of Klohn Crippen Berger from 2006 to 2011, and previously held leadership positions within Klohn Crippen Berger as president and CEO, senior vice president of engineering and vice president for the Pacific region. During his tenure as chairman, Dr. Portfors led Klohn Crippen Berger to be one of Canada s 50 Best Managed Companies. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and has more than 45 years of experience in technical reviews, project management and designs for major water resources, hydroelectric, mining and transportation projects worldwide. LARRY D. WALKER Larry D. Walker serves as the executive vice president for global strategy and development for Louis Berger, reporting to the company s chief executive officer. Walker leads vertical market and strategic practice integration across Louis Berger s operating companies. Other responsibilities include oversight for corporate risk management, acquisitions, platform/practice expansion efforts and strategic projects and pursuits. Walker assumes the role after four years serving as the president for the Louis Berger Group operating company, where he played a central role in Louis Berger s corporate transformation efforts between 2007 and 2013. Previously, he served as the firm s group vice president responsible for stabilization and post-conflict reconstruction programs. Walker holds a master s in urban policy planning from Virginia Tech.

19 GREGORY P. MATTHEWS, PE Greg Matthews serves is executive vice president and chief engineer for Louis Berger, a role he has held since rejoining the firm in 2010. He has more than 35 years of experience working with clients and projects in the United States and internationally across Africa, Asia and Europe. Previously, Matthews worked at Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. where he was the director of the firm s Federal Program, responsible for client service, quality, growth, risk management, profitability, compliance and delivery of engineering and scientific services to a host of U.S. government clients. Mr. Matthews holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Tufts University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. MARTHA CLARK GOSS Martha Clark Goss is a member of the Louis Berger board of directors. She has more than 35 years of executive experience, and has been the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Amwell/ Hopewell Holdings LLC since 2003. In the past, she has held senior level positions in credit, investment and financial management at the Chase Manhattan Bank, Prudential Insurance and Booz-Allen & Hamilton. Goss holds a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and received her bachelor s degree from Brown University. In 1996 she was selected as co-honoree with Lady Margaret Thatcher for the university s Independent Man Award. FORD M. FRAKER DAVID ABRAMS SETH FINKELSTEIN Former Ambassador Ford M. Fraker is a member of the Louis Berger board of directors, and previously served as the U.S. ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2007 to 2009. He has more than 35 years of experience in banking, finance and investments in the Middle East. During the 12 years he spent with Saudi International bank (a JP Morgan affiliate) he managed the general banking, credit and client development units and served on the bank s managing committee. Prior to joining the board Fraker held several senior and advisory positions in consultancy firms, and currently serves on boards for the Royal Bank of Scotland, the International College in Beirut, Perkins School for the Blind and the Middle East Policy Council. Fraker graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University David Abrams is a member of the Louis Berger board of directors. Abrams has been managing the Abrams Capital Funds since 1999. Prior to managing the Abrams Capital Funds, from 1988 to 1998, he was a senior investment professional with The Baupost Group of Boston, Massachusetts. Abrams also serves as a director of iheartmedia, Inc. (IHRT - OTC) and several private companies. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Seth Finkelstein is a managing director and investment analyst at Abrams Capital, which he joined in 2001. Prior to joining Abrams Capital, Finkelstein was an investment professional at Fairholme Capital, Cohanzick Partners and First Manhattan. Finkelstein also serves as a director of AutoMile Holdings, LLC. He earned a Bachelor s of Arts in History from Rutgers University.
