Begin weaving with the new color, leaving a long yarn tail. These tails can be woven in later. 4. Loom Set-Up Following manual instructions, insert 28 standard pegs across the top row of the loom base and 28 pegs across bottom row of loom base 56 pegs placed for warp. Warp Following manual instructions for Warping, set up the warp across 56 pegs with A.
Weft Following manual instructions for Basic Weaving, work as follows with 2 strands of yarn held together: With E, weave 4 rows. With B, weave 3 rows. With J, weave 9 rows. With I, weave 6 rows. Begin Tapestry Notes: 1. Follow video instructions for Tapestry Weaving for working more than one color at a time in a single row. Yarns are twisted to prevent holes in your weaving. 2. The Tapestry Chart is meant to be a guideline, have fun and get creative! Following video instructions for Tapestry Weaving, and referring to Tapestry Chart, weave the weft. Following manual instructions for Basic Weaving, weave the remainder of the warp with I. Remove Weaving From Loom Carefully lift all the loops up and off the pegs. FINISHING Pom-poms Following the video instructions for making pom-poms, insert embellishment pegs into the loom base about 1 to 2 in. (2.5 to 6 cm) apart, or as desired. With yarn colors as desired, make 5 small pom-poms. To mix 2 yarn colors in a pom-pom, hold 2 strands of yarn together to make the pom-pom. Trim pom-poms, leaving one long yarn tail untrimmed. Use the yarn tails to tie the pom-poms to the Hanging. Flowers Following the video instructions for making flowers, make 6 flowers with A, or color as desired. Use the yarn tails to tie the flowers to the Hanging. Embroidery With large blunt-eyed needle included in your kit, make big stitches with A as desired to outline fields of color on your Hanging.
Attach Hanging to Twig Thread tapestry needle with a strand of yarn in color as desired. Knot end of strand to the top of the Hanging. Hold the twig against the top edge of the Hanging. Loop the yarn over the twig then through the top edge of the Hanging until the Hanging is fully attached to the twig. Knot yarn. Hanger Thread tapestry needle with a long strand of yarn in color as desired. Draw strand through one top corner of Hanging. Knot this end. Draw remaining end of strand through opposite top corner of Hanging and knot. Trim yarn ends. With tapestry needle, weave remaining yarn ends into back of the Hanging.
