Dr Eva YW Chan FCIS FCS(PE), FCPA, FCCA, MBA, DBA Dr Chan is the Head of Investor Relations of C C Land Holdings Limited (stock code: 1224). With more than 25 years experience as CFO and company secretary of various listed companies in Hong Kong, she is mainly responsible for formulating the investor relation strategies for the company and conducting meetings with investors and fund managers all over the world. Dr Chan was admitted as a Fellow of ICSA and HKICS in 2006. She was first elected to HKICS Council in 2012 and appointed as the Institute s Treasurer since 2015. She served on the Institute s Membership Committee as a member since 2007 and as the Chairman since 2016. She was a member of the Student Disciplinary Sub-Committee from 2010 to 2015 and the Professional Development Committee from 2014 to 2015. Currently, she serves on the Special Entry Scheme Interview Panel, Investment Strategy Task Force and Office Space Working Group of the Institute. She actively participates in the Institute s activities and contributes at HKICS seminars. Dr Chan is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Capital Environment Holdings Limited (stock code: 3989) and is appointed as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Accounting and Finance of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is currently the Chairman of The Hong Kong Investor Relations Association. Also, she is a Fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Dr Chan graduated from the City University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. She then earned an MBA from the University of Nottingham, UK and a DBA from the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong. 1
Dr Gao Wei FCIS FCS(PE) Dr Gao is currently the Director and the General Manager of Sinotrans Air Transportation Development Co., Ltd., a Shanghai listed company (stock code 600270). He is also the General Counsel of Sinotrans Limited (stock code 598). He was the Board Secretary of Sinotrans Limited from August 2002 to December 2016, and was responsible for discharging company secretarial functions and coordinating with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with the relevant rules and regulations and corporate governance standards. Dr Gao is currently a Vice-Chairman of the Board Secretary Committee of China Association for Public Companies. At HKICS, Dr Gao was first elected as a Council Member in 2012 and has been a Vice-President since 2014. He served as a member of the Institute s Human Resources Committee and Mainland China Focus Group since 2012, Vice-President of the Professional Development Committee since 2013 and a member of the ICSA/HKICS Name Working Group since 2016. Also, he is currently the Chairman of the Institute s Mainland China Technical Consultation Panel. Dr Gao provides support and contributions to the Institute s Affiliated Persons (AP) Programme and publications related to mainland China issues. He is a regular speaker and panel chair to the AP ECPD seminars and functions. Dr Gao holds a bachelor s degree in engineering from Beijing University of Science and Technology; a master s degree in economics from Central University of Finance and Economics; a doctorate degree in law from University of International Business and Economics; and a legal professional qualification. He is one of the pioneers board secretaries to complete the IQS examinations in mainland China. He became a fellow of HKICS and ICSA in May 2011. 2
Arthur K Lee FCIS FCS Arthur was admitted as an Associate of HKICS and ICSA in 2013 and was elected a Fellow of both institutes in 2014. Arthur has been the Institute s Audit Committee member since 2016. He also spoke at various sharing sessions of the Institute. Arthur was appointed as Company Secretary of CGN New Energy Holdings Limited (stock code 1811), a state-owned enterprise focusing on new energy, since January 2015. He also acts as Assistant President and General Manager of Investor Relations of CGN New Energy. He first joined CGN New Energy in June 2007 as Controller and was appointed as Director of Strategy, Planning and Risk Management in 2011 before taking up the role in Investor Relations. He has over 20 years of experience in the area of strategy, corporate governance, taxation, audit, financial management, budgeting, accounting, etc. Arthur obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was awarded a MBA from the University of Warwick. He also graduated from the Master of Corporate Governance degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with distinction. He is also a Fellow member of HKICPA, ACCA and HKIoD. Besides, he is a CFA and member of CIMA and CPA (Australia). He is a Past Chairman of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Hong Kong Division. Currently, he serves as a Council member for the Hong Kong Baptist University and the ACCA Global Council. He is also the Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association. Arthur is keen on services as well. He was a Past President of Rotary Club of Hong Kong Northeast and is currently the District Treasurer of Rotary International District 3450. David J Simmonds FCIS FCS Mr David Simmonds FCIS FCS is the Group General Counsel, Chief Administrative Officer and Company Secretary of CLP Holdings Limited. Mr Simmonds is responsible for the corporate secretarial affairs of CLP Holdings and its subsidiaries along with the Group s corporate governance practices. He leads an experienced and dedicated team of company secretarial professionals. As Group General Counsel, Mr Simmonds leads a team of lawyers who provide strategic advice and counsel to CLP Holdings and its subsidiaries. He has extensive infrastructure experience advising on strategic acquisitions and divestments, projects and construction, corporate structuring, regulatory issues and competition laws. As Chief Administrative Officer, Mr Simmonds is responsible for the Group s climate change strategy, property development and management activities, insurance services and special projects of the CEO. Mr Simmonds was appointed Director - Group Legal Affairs of CLP Holdings from 1 January 2009. He became the Group General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer on 30 September 2013 and was appointed Company Secretary of CLP Holdings on 1 January 2016. He is also a Director of various subsidiary companies of the CLP Group. Mr Simmonds is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and a Fellow of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries. He is also a member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macau and The Asia Society. At The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries, Mr Simmonds has served as a member of the Company Secretaries Panel and Technical Consultation Panel and the Chairman of the Technical Consultation Panel (Competition Law Interest Group) since 2016. He has also been a speaker at a number of HKICS seminars. Mr Simmonds holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne. 4
Doris WN Wong FCIS FCS Ms Wong was admitted as a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries ( HKICS ) and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK) in 1993. She served as a Council member of HKICS from 2004 to 2008. She also served on the Education Committee of HKICS as a Vice-Chair in 2005 and a member from 2006 to 2011. She was a member of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Accountancy of the City University of Hong Kong from 2006 to 2010. Currently, she is a member of the Disciplinary Tribunal of HKICS. Ms Wong is a senior Chartered Secretary with over 25 years professional experience in the company secretarial field. Ms Wong started her career as a trainee in the Corporate Services Department of Coopers & Lybrand (now known as Pricewaterhouse Coopers PWC ) in 1983. She left PWC in 1986 and worked a few years respectively with Citibank, N.A. and C. P. Pokphand before joining Seapower Group in 1990 as the Company Secretary. In June 1995, she joined Guoco Group / Dao Heng Bank Group as Group Company Secretary overseeing the corporate secretariat function and corporate communications matters of Guoco and Dao Heng. Dao Heng Bank Group was acquired by DBS Group in 2001, Ms Wong remained with Dao Heng Bank (now known as DBS Bank (HK) Ltd) as the Head of Secretariat until December 2012. She joined Dah Sing Financial Group as the Group Company Secretary on 8 January 2013. Ms Wong has extensive experience in company secretarial practices, compliance and corporate governance operation and development. She played a key role in the sale and transfer of Dao Heng Bank Group to DBS Group and has been involved in other corporate transactions throughout her career including mergers and acquisitions, disposal of assets, change of domicile, and the establishment of a locally incorporated banking subsidiary of DBS in Mainland China etc. 5
