3. General safety advce Please read carefully! IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS: IMPORTANT - PLEASE OBSERVE ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS TO PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS. PLEASE KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FURTHER USE. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE INSTALLATION: IMPORTANT - INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY. PLEASE FOLLOW ALL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. Target group Ths operator system may only be nstalled, connected and put nto operaton by qualfed and traned professonals! Qualfed and traned specalst personnel are persons - who have knowledge of the general and specal safety regulatons, - who have knowledge of the relevant electro-techncal regulatons, - wth tranng n the use and mantenance of sutable safety equpment, - who are suffcently traned and supervsed by qualfed electrcans, - who are able to recognse the partcular hazards nvolved when workng wth electrcty, - wth knowledge regardng applcatons of the EN 12635 standard (nstallaton and usage requrements). Warranty For an operatons and safety warranty, the advce n ths nstructon manual has to be observed. Dsregardng these warnngs may lead to personal njury or materal damage. If ths advce s dsregarded, the manufacturer wll not be lable for damages that mght occur. The warranty does not nclude batteres, rechargeable batteres, fuses and bulbs. To avod nstallaton errors and damage to the parkng barrer system, t s essental that the nstallaton nstructons are followed. The system may only be used after thoroughly readng the respectve mountng and nstallaton nstructons. The nstallaton and operatng nstructons must be submtted to the parkng barrer operator and kept n a safe place. They contan mportant advce for operaton, checks and mantenance. Ths tem s produced accordng to the drectves and standards mentoned n the Manufacturer's Declaraton and n the Declaraton of Conformty. The product has left the factory n perfect condton wth regard to safety. Power-operated nstallatons must be checked by an expert (and ths must be documented) before they are put nto operaton and thereafter as requred, but at least once a year. Correct use The parkng barrer system s desgned exclusvely for use n access zones. Its purpose s to provde safe access for goods and vehcles, whether guded or drven by persons, n ndustral parks or resdental areas. Please note that ths operator system must only be used wth the barrer arms and counterbalance sprngs suppled by the manufacturer. Informaton on nstallng the parkng barrer system Render any nstallatons noperable that wll no longer be needed after the parkng barrer system has been nstalled. Before commencng cablng works t s very mportant to dsconnect the operator system from the electrcty supply. Ensure that the electrcty supply remans dsconnected throughout the cablng works. Adhere to the local protecton regulatons. Use only fxng materals whch are approved for the substrate concerned. Lay the electrcty supply cables and control cables; these MUST be lad separately. The controls voltage s 24 V DC. Mount all pulse generators and control devces (e.g. rado code keypad) wthn sght of the parkng barrer and at a safe dstance from any movng parts of the parkng barrer system. Advce on commssonng the park barrer system To ensure proper operaton of the system wthn the CEN (European Commttee for Standardsaton) states t s essental that the relevant European health and safety drectves and standards are taken nto account. The techncal data relatng to envronmental condtons, degree of protecton, loadng and duty cycle must be compled wth. All parkng barrer users must be nstructed n the system s operaton once t has been nstalled. Make sure that chldren cannot play wth the controls. Make sure before operatng the parkng barrer that no objects or people are n the danger zone of the parkng barrer. Test all exstng emergency command devces. Never place your hands n a movng parkng barrer or movng parts. Be aware of possble crushng and shearng hazards posed by the parkng barrer system. The EN 13241-1 regulatons must be observed. Advce on servcng the parkng barrer system To ensure proper operaton, the followng tems must be checked regularly and repared f necessary. Before any works to the parkng barrer system are undertaken, the operator system must be dsconnected from the mans. Check once a month to ensure that the operator system reverses f the parkng barrer encounters an obstacle. Dependng on the operatonal drecton of the parkng barrer, place a 1,500 mm hgh obstacle n ts path. Perform a check on the OPEN and CLOSE automatc cut-out settng. Check all movable parts of the parkng barrer system. Check the parkng barrer system for wear or damage. Inspect the safety devces nstalled every sx months. Informaton on cleanng the parkng barrer system Never use water jets, hgh pressure cleaners, acds or bases for cleanng. Besde the advce n these nstructons, please observe the general safety and accdent preventon regulatons! Our sales and supply terms and condtons are effectve.
