Welcome Mitchell Ragsdale (Newark) who just moved here, Ed Sims (San Jose), & Mark Rhine (Newark) -- Our newest FCC members. Bubble Draw: # Matt Tuter was present to WIN (1) Standing Liberty Coin. Door Prize: Jonathan Chang Announcements: President Caires mentioned upcoming coin shows and National Coin Week. National Coin Week displays will be @ Bank of the West on Paseo Padre Pky near Lake Elizabeth. Setup is Monday April 16th @ 9am and tear-down is April 23rd @9am. Reminder from President Caires to FCC members to please pay for their auction items in smaller denomination bills; the club does not keep enough change onhand to break $50 or $100 bills.. Show & Tell (11) participants included: Mike Jordan - 1914 Australian Florin and a model car.. Bill Hurja - Ike Dollar Varieties & the 1971-D Friendly Eagle Ike Dollar. Don Barsi - Western Token Society Jamboree Show (Sacramento) finds: Alameda CA Diary Tokens. Brian Perry - a bright red shiny 1907 Indian Cent + some Silver Halves found in bank rolls Aaron Houston - 20th Century Type Set material: 1910 PCGS MS 64 Liberty nickel w/nice luster.. Jacob Claassen - 1936 Indian Portuguese silver coin. Ron Phillips - foreign coin hoard bulk purchase and found a Spanish Gold Coin. Howard Silsdorf - collect foreign coins in tupperware containers after his many travels -- brought one of his hoards. Susan Silsdorf - noted that she and Howard have just joined the ANA; the ANA sent them both a London 2012 sports collection coins (50 Pence). Bruce Caires - a 10 oz silver bar bought from Ron Miller when silver was $7/oz Briita Ehlers - ANA Business Silver Medal - NW Territory Mint from Washington **Don Barsi won the Show and Tell prize** Auction: Bruce Caires auction 15 lots; including (2) club donations which netted $$. Prize Drawing: Silver Winners: Susan Silsdorf, Bill Hurja 2X winner, and newest member Mary Roja; Gold Prize went to Bruce Caires. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 pm. 2

Fremont Coin Club -- Double Eagle Newsletter -- May & June, 2012 Apr 24th 2012 SUPER AUCTION Meeting called to order at 7:07pm by President Bruce Caires. Welcome Guest Dennis & Brent Morgan from Niles called to order at 7:07 pm by Prres. (36) FCC members braved the rainy weather to attend the last March meeting. Bubble Draw: #232 Vince Lacariere was not present to win. Door Prize: Wanda Johnson Announcements: BriitaNational Coin Week April 15-21st. The club has coin cases that can be used by members to display their coins at the Bank of the West on Paseo Padre by Lake Elizabeth. See Briita Ehlers for details. Lyle Okamoto mentioned that he had show raffle tickets for some of the upcoming coin shows. It was Sandy Jaekel s Birthday, so the club sang Happy Birthday to her. Show & Tell (9) participants included: Bryan Perry - A 1921 High Relief Peace Dollar exchanged for bulk silver at the Fremont Coin Gallery. Lyle Okamoto - Coin Star finds - 2 Euro cent coin. Ken Barr - a RARE 1955 mint set in the original packaging -- NICE!. Ed Sims - 1893 Carson City Morgan Dollar with only ONE C - mint error, likely due to the continued use of worn dies; 1893 the Carson City Mint was closed. Bill Hurja - 1913 PCGS Mercury Dime in MS63, nicely toned coin Ray Kowalski - ANA Press Release, former Collections Officer convicted of selling ANA coins for personal profit. Chuck White -.999 fine copper rounds. Aaron Houston - working towards a 20th Century Type set, brought a 1908-S Indian Cent NGC AU50 Lyle Okamoto - found his first 2012-D cent in circulation. **Chuck White won the Show and Tell prize** SUPER Auction: Dennis Pagano auctioned the A Lots - 18 lots + 2 donation lots. Past President Chuck Call auctioned the B Lots - 16 lots Prize Drawing: (Silver) Bill Hurja, a Club Visitor, Mary Roja; Bob Lusk. Gold Prize was won by Jim Barton. The meeting was adjourned at 9:32 pm. 3
