Falling Leaves Pillow Wrap By Marie Duncan Let the leaves fall where they may on this festive Autumn pillow wrap. Thread with sewing thread top and bobbin. 2. Remove the ankle from your sewing machine and attach your Ruffler. 3. Set the Adjusting Lever at 12 and turn the Adjusting Screw all the way in. This will make a pleat, every 12 th stitch. 4. Pleat each side of the 10½ x width of fabric strip. 5. Place the pleated strip on the ironing board. Press the pleats. They go in one direction on one side and the opposite direction on the other side. Press randomly, creting texture, not perfect pleats. 6. Place a 21 long piece of Light and Tacky Tear-A-Way behind the center portion of the strip.

7. Hoop Tear-A-Way stabilizer. Create the Design: 1. Open 5D Embroidery. 2. Bring in design #624312. 3. Click on Preferences. 4. Uncheck Remove Overlap. 5. Click OK to close the window. 6. Click on the Hoop Icon. Select the 360 x 200 DESIGNER Royal Hoop, Orientation, Horizontal. 7. Click Encore. 8. Under Type, select Line. Under Line Options, select line 2. Under Number of Repeats, select 6. 9. Click OK to close the Encore Window 10. Use your Zoom Tool at the bottom of the screen and slide to 12% to enable you to see the entire design area. Pull in the boxes so that the design is within the hoop area and the designs meet as shown. 11. Right click within the embroidery area to set the design. 12. Click on the Letter Tab. Select Category Traditional, Clarendon B, 12-30mm. Size 12mm. 13. Type in Gobble, Gobble, Be Thankful, Get Stuffed and select line type Fit to Wavy Line as shown. Click Apply. 14. Click on the minus one time to reduce the Zoom to 12%. 15. Drag the letters into the hoop and arrange as shown.

16. Click on the Design Tab. 17. Click on the Leaves design, click ColorSort. 18. Touch the TAB key on your computer to move o the letters. 19. Click on ColorSort. 20. Click on Combine All. 21. Click on Save As. Save the design as gobble gobble. 22. Open 5D Organizer. 23. Open your design, gobble gobble in Organizer. 24. Click on Add Trim Commands. 25. Save and overwrite your original file. 26. Send to your HUSQVARNA VIKING embroidery machine. 27. Because we created it in the horizontal position, it will come in, in your Majestic Hoop. Activate Rotate and rotate the design 90. 28. Touch My Hoops and select the 360 x 200 DESIGNER Royal Hoop. 29. Touch. 30. Touch Baste in Hoop and place the fabric on the hooped stabilizer, centered. 31. Touch Start/Stop and baste the fabric in place. 32. Place INSPIRA Dissolve-A-Way stabilizer on top of the fabric. Touch Baste in Hoop and baste the Dissolve-A-Way in place. This will hold the textured pleats in place and prevent the foot from catching in them. 33. Embroider the design.

34. Leave your fabric hooped and on the machine. 35. Touch to delete the design from your screen. 36. Touch Fonts and select Brush Line Alphabet. 37. Enter HAPPY THANKSGIVING. 38. Touch OK to close the Font window. 39. Move to desired position, and touch Duplicate to add another design. Move to desired position. Repeat, using Rotate and Position to arrange the designs around the hoop. 40. Touch. 41. Touch Monochrome.. 42. Embroider the words. 43. Remove the basting. Tear away as much of the stabilizer as you can and rinse to remove the water soluble stabilizer that remains. Make the Pillow: 1. Thread your machine with sewing thread top and bobbin. Snap on your Clear Seam Guide Foot. 2. Select straight stitch A1:02. 3. Place the two 17 squares right sides together. Align the edge of the fabric with the flange on the foot. 4. Stitch around the square leaving a 4 opening centered on one side for turning and stuffing. 5. Bring the seams together at one corner and mark 2 from the point as shown.

6. Select B1:16 button sew on stitch. 7. Increase the number of stitches to 16. 8. Stitch on the 2 mark securing the layers together to form the tuck in the corners of the pillow. 9. Clip the corners and turn. 10. Stuff with fiberfill. 11. Trim the embroidered wrap to 10½ x 33 with the embroidery centered. 12. Snap on your piping foot. 13. Select straight stitch A1:02. 14. Place the piping along one long edge. 15. Stitch in place. 16. Repeat for the other long edge. 17. Place the embroidered wrap right sides together with the 10½ x 33 lining. 18. Stitch along each long edge. 19. Turn right side out and press. 20. Place the embroidered side right sides together and stitch the short edges together being careful to NOT catch the lining in this seam. 21. Press the seam open. 22. Press under the raw edges of one of the lining pieces. 23. Close the back with Steam-A-Seam 2. 24. Insert the pillow into the pillow wrap. Take a quick snooze on your new pillow, then get moving and get that turkey in the oven!
