Programming The Unit About Programming Programming of the unit can be achieved by putting the unit into programming mode upon startup with a specified stick combination. You can then use the transmitter sticks to go through a sequence of programming options. Programming Options V-Tail Mixing This function allows you to set the receiver to do the v-tail mixing instead of the transmitter (for those who don t have a programmable transmitter). In this mode when the elevator stick is moved, both the onboard servos move in the same direction in unison. Moving the rudder stick will allow the servos to move in unison but in the opposite direction to one another. Onboard Servo Swapping This function allows you to swap the elevator and rudder servos on the receiver board. Use this function to swap the servos to suit the control horn position on your model. Aileron and Rudder Swapping With this function set, the linear rudder servo on the receiver board will respond to the aileron stick on the transmitter instead of the rudder stick. Also, any servos connected to the aileron ports on the receiver board will respond to the rudder stick on the transmitter. Aileron Direction Reversing There are two aileron ports on the receiver board which can be used to drive either one or two aileron servos. If you are using just one aileron servo and need to change its direction, you can simply plug it into the other port instead. However, if you have dual aileron servos plugged into these ports and you need to swap their direction of travel, you need to do so with the Aileron Direction Reversing function. Binding the Receiver to your Transmitter 1. Apply power to the receiver and wait for the red blinking LED to blink quickly 2. Turn on your DSM2 compatible transmitter while holding the bind switch 3. The unit is correctly bound when the red LED turns off and then comes on constant again 4. Release the bind switch on your transmitter Entering Programming Mode 1. Set the throttle stick to 50% (in the middle), and with the transmitter on, connect power to the receiver. 2. The LED will go dull for 2 seconds, and within this 2 seconds you must move the elevator stick to the highest or lowest position and then hold it there for 2 seconds until the LED flashes twice and then stays on. 3. Then release the elevator stick back to the neutral position 4. The receiver unit is now in programming mode.
V-Tail Mixing 2. Move the throttle stick to the highest position and the LED will flash once 3. To activate mixing, move the rudder stick to the left and hold it there. 4. The LED will flash three times then release the rudder stick back to the neutral position. * To deactivate mixing follow the procedure above but in step 3 push the rudder stick to the right instead. The LED will blink once. Then release the rudder stick back to the neutral position. NOTE: Ailerons, if connected, will operate as normal when V-Tail mixing is set. Onboard Servo Swapping 2. Move the throttle stick to the 3/4 position (anywhere between neutral and full throttle) - LED will flashes twice. 3. Move the rudder stick to the right and hold it there for 2 seconds, the LED will flash once. Then release it. * To deactivate onboard servo swapping push the rudder stick to the left instead. To save settings and exit programming mode, do the following steps. Aileron and Rudder Swapping 2. Move the throttle stick to a position half way between neutral and the lowest position. (LED flashed twice) 3. Then move the rudder all the way to the left. 4. The LED will flash twice to indicate the setting has completed. Then release the rudder stick back to neutral. * To deactivate aileron and rudder swapping move the rudder stick to the right instead. Note: With this setting the aileron stick will control the onboard rudder servo. Also, the rudder stick will now operate whatever servos are connected to the two aileron ports on the board. Each port moves in an opposite direction. So if your rudder servo needs to have the direction reversed, you can simply plug it into the other aileron port.
Aileron Direction Reversing. 2. Move the throttle stick to the highest position. 3. The LED will flash once 4. Then move the elevator all the way to the lowest position and the LED will flash 3 times. 5. Release the elevator stick back to the neutral position * To deactivate aileron direction reversing move the elevator stick to the highest position. Note: Aileron direction reversing changes the direction of the aileron movement on both of the external aileron servo ports. Resetting the Unit: (changes all settings back to the factory default) 2. Move throttle to the lowest position. 3. Then, move the elevator stick to the highest position and hold it there for 2 seconds. (LED flashes once) 3. Then release the elevator stick back to the neutral position. Copyright MicronWings 2013 All rights reserved. This manual is for personal use only.
