Step 1 Painting the undercoat Squeeze out some Azo Vermilion and Yellow Deep side by side in to the same well in the palette. Charge the roller and coat the canvas. Try to make the transition smooth. Don t over blend it. Let this dry. Step 2. Creating the Stencil With a pair of scissors cut out the fish exactly to the line. Using 2 small spots of Blue Tack apply the fish stencil in to the middle of the canvas. Step 3. Painting in the background Squeeze out some dimension Cyan Blue. With the roller create a thin coat over the entire surface. Be careful not to let any paint seep under the stencil. As soon as you have finished the coat remove the stencil. Place the frame on it s side and paint the edges. Let this dry. Step 4. Creating the markings Dip the smallest brush handle end in to the paint and create a set of spots moving from the head to the tail. Do this in lines. Let this dry. Next apply a small spot of Turquoise onto the underlying Cyan Blue with the finest brush. Make sure a little of the cyan can be seen. Let this dry. Step 5. Outlining Squeeze out some Lamp Black in to the palette. Add a little water to the paint so it is the viscosity of cream. Step 1 Creating the stencil With a pair of scissors carefully cut out the Yellow Stripe Angelfish. Be careful of fishes beak and the fin. Step 2. Painting in the background Squeeze out some Cyan into the deep well plastic palette. Charge the sponge roller and create the background over the stencil. Let dry. Step 3. Undercoating the fish Squeeze out some Lemon Yellow into the deep well plastic palette. Add an equal amount of water to the paint and lay a wash over the fish. While the wash is still wet lay a yellow line around the fish. Use the small round for this. Step 4. Creating the markings Squeeze out some Yellow Deep and with the flat lay in 4 vertical stripes down the fish making them smaller as you move to the front. Step 5. Outlining Squeeze out some Lamp Black in to the palette. Add a little water to the paint so it is the viscosity of cream. Creating the stencil With a pair of scissors carefully cut out the clown fish. Step 3. Painting in the background Squeeze out some Cyan and with the roller lay it in over the stencil. Step 4. Creating the markings Squeeze out some White and with the flat lay in 3 vertical stripes down the fish. Paint one down the tail one in the body and one on the head. Refer to the image on the PDF to see the shape. Step 5. Outlining Squeeze out some Lamp Black in to the palette. Add a little water to the paint so it is the viscosity of cream. Step 1 Painting the background Squeeze out some Lamp black into the palette. Charge the roller and lay a thin coat over the entire surface. Step 2. Creating the stencil With a pair of scissors carefully cut out the Emperor Angel fish. Blue Tac on the fish and lay a coat of Cyan Blue over the surface with the sponge roller. Step 3. Detailing the fish Squeeze out some White. Thin the paint with water to the viscosity of cream. Lay in the lines with the rigger brush Step 4. Adding colour Squeeze out some Cyan Blue and White in equal proportions. Lay in a line in between each of the White Lines. Step 5. Painting the eye Create a round dab of black this will be the eye. Create two eyelids with White.
