PRINCESS AURORA CROWN CRAFT Celebrate your inner princess, Aurora style! Follow the instructions below to recreate Sleeping Beauty s golden, jeweled crown. Here s how: YOU WILL NEED: Scissors, Thick Paper (Gold), Stick On Gems, Non-toxic Glue, Clear Tape. Print the template on the following page and cut out the crown shape. Fold a piece of thick paper or cardboard in half, then trace the template onto it, matching the indicated fold line to the folded edge. ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED Apply stick on gems to the outside of your gold crown. Carefully adjust the size of the crown by bending it to fit your head. Secure in place with clear tape. Dragon LANTERNS Give your room the warm enchanted glow of delicate paper dragon lanterns. USE LED LIGHTS ONLY. DO NOT USE REAL CANDLES. Tabletop Lanterns» Have an adult help you. Step 1: Print out (2) of the attached template pages of your choice. Step 2: Glue the pages together along the edges folding them inward to make sure the white edges are hidden. Step 3: Have an adult help you trim along the top and bottom of the template to remove the outer edges. Step 4: Place your LED candle light on a tabletop and place your dragon lantern on top. For this project you will need: o White Paper o LED candle light o Glue stick or tape For a hanging lantern you will also need: o Scissors o Strong String o Plastic bottle or jar o Ceiling hook Hanging Lanterns» Have an adult help you. Step 1: Carefully remove the top of your bottle with a safetly blade or sturdy scissors. Step 2: Punch 4 holes across from one another 1cm below the top edge of your bottle. Step 3: Thread about 1.5 meter (5 feet) of thin sturdy string or fishing line through each hole in your bottle and tie the ends together. Step 4: Slide your paper lantern over the bottle and secure the lantern to the bottle from the inside using clear tape. SLEEPING BEAUTY PILLOW Create and decorate your very own Sleeping Beauty pillow and awaken each morning with sweet dreams. YOU WILL NEED: Canvas Fabric: Two pieces of 17 x17, Furry Fabric: One piece of 16 x16, One piece of 11 x11 One piece of 7 x7. White crayon or chalk. Paper. Scissors. Needle and thread. Cotton or polyester stuffing. Printer and Ironon paper. DIRECTIONS: Have an adult help you with this Activity! 1) Measure two pieces of 17 x17 canvas type fabric. Have an adult help you cut and set aside. This will be your pillow base. 2) Measure one piece of 16 x16 light pink furry fabric, one piece of 11 x11 white furry fabric, and one piece of 7 x7 dark pink furry fabric. 5) Cut a 4 x4 square out of the center of each piece as indicated above. Trace around a piece of paper to use as a pattern. Set aside. 6) Have an adult help print and cut out the Love s True Kiss image from the following page, then iron it onto the center of the front side of the pillow base. Let cool. 7) Attach the furry pieces previously cut to the front side of the pillow base with a thread and needle aligning the center squares so the iron-on image shows through. 8) With the pillow pieces turned outside in, pin the front and back sides of the base together, then stitch around the edge and leave a small opening for stuffing. Have an adult help you with this activity! SWORD CRAFT YOU WILL NEED: Wood Stick: 50 long, 1 wide, 1/4 thick Wire Nails 3/4 Wood Glue Non Toxic Paint: Silver and Black DIRECTIONS: 1. Cut wood stick into the following lengths: 1 30 length, 2 6 lengths, 2 2.5 lengths. 2. Assemble according to the diagram below. 3. Apply glue between pieces of cross-guard assembly. 4. Hammer in wire nails along cross-guard on both sides. 5. Apply paint: black handle and cross-guard, silver blade. SWORD ASSEMBLY 1 30 LENGTH 2 6 LENGTHS 2 2.5 LENGTHS 6 WIRE NAILS SHIELD CRAFT YOU WILL NEED: Hardboard: 26 tall, 16 wide, 1/4 thick Silver Duct Tape, Coarse Sandpaper, Crafting Blade DIRECTIONS: 1. Cut hardboard to size shown above. 2. Cut bottom angled edges as seen in the picture. 3. Sand all edges and round corners as seen in the picture. 4. Paint shield with blue paint and leave out until dry. 5. Apply silver duct tape in cross shape to the surface of the shield. 6. Use crafting blade to point the tips of your cross. 7.
