Burj has proved to be the right product for todays economic climate providing traditional or contemporary styling for less cost than comparable 44mm joinery. Partitions are interfaced at floor and ceiling using extruded aluminium with laminate infill strip that can match the partition colour. Quality DDA compliant stainless steel ironmongery (see page 3) including lock (with emergency external access), sprung hinge, buffered coat hook are standard with Burj ensuring that the product maintains the high level of quality. Decra are chain of custody certified and can provide solutions for any BREEAM considerations using the Burj system. The gloss finish Abet HR-LAC is only suitable for doors, pilasters and rear duct panels due to a limited sheet width but if partitions are also required in gloss finish, Abet can provide a standard gloss finish in a partition sized width in matching colours to HR-LAC. Doors and pilasters have rebated hardwood edges with a number of options including polished natural Ash (as standard) alternatively the hardwood can be stained or painted to compliment the fascia colour (see page 4). It is worth noting that using the T10 range, Decra can provide a fully PEFC compliant specification for any BREEAM considerations. The DDA compliant thumb turn makes the lock easy to operate even with a partially clenched fist. Doors are supported on sprung stainless steel hinges (contact Decra to discuss alternative hinges) and the system includes a buffered stainless steel coat hook and a 450 x 25mm stainless steel pull handle for ambulant disabled cubicles. 75mm extruded aluminium sections provide the floor and ceiling interface with a laminate infil strip which hides all of the fixing screws. The infill strip can match the partition colour or form a contrast. We can also provide a thicker partition specification to allow aluminium section to fit flush with the partition (see image below) - contact Decra for more details. For economy, Ash is our preferred option which is then polished to effectively seal the wood. We do respect however, that the light wood colour edge might not be ideal in all situations and therefore you can see from the examples below that we can also provide stain or paint finishes to compliment the fascia (this might be more beneficial for instance, when plain or glossy laminate fascia is specified in lieu of wood finishes. However, when a dark wood such as walnut veneer or walnut wood grain is specified we use real wood walnut to avoid a harsh contrast with the fascia. we also provide oak hardwood when the fascia is Woodlam white oak or white oak veneer. We can also provide timber edges such as maple or cherry which act as a better base wood when used with paint finishes as the paint effectively hides the grain of the wood.
