He was until June 2008 an Executive Director of Springfield Land Corporation Pty Ltd, the developer of a new city for 105,000 residents in South East Queensland. In his capacity as Executive Director and Board member for 16 years he reviewed all investment proposals to the Board. Lincoln Hopper CEO MS Queensland Lincoln Hopper is the CEO of MS Queensland. Having spent the last 25 years working in the health and community service sector, Lincoln initially began his working life in the finance industry as a chalkie at the Sydney Stock Exchange and in a short space of time progressed to being a licensed stockbroker for Pembroke Securities. A stock market crash and a reality check later, Lincoln turned his back on a very promising career in pursuit of something more. He commenced working with the Sydney City Mission in 1990, firstly in Kings Cross with disadvantaged and homeless young people and then in a diverse range of roles from frontline social work, program management, policy and advocacy, fundraising and executive leadership including national leadership of 2,000 staff. Lincoln has more than 15 years management experience, including the last seven years as an Executive and is currently CEO and Company Secretary of MS Queensland. A most recent highlight for Lincoln was MS Queensland receiving top honours in the 2014 PwC Transparency in Reporting Awards. In June 2013 Lincoln founded the Queensland Progressive Neurological Disease Alliance (QPNDA) made up of 10 neurological not-for-profit organisations across Queensland. The Alliance discusses common sector issues including funding, policy, legislation, service delivery and care models as Australia prepares for the rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). In 2014 the QPNDA began using the new name NeuroCare Network and were recognised as the winner of the Westpac Community Leaders Awards 2014 Partnerships for Purpose category. Lincoln lives in Brisbane s bayside, has a beautiful wife Julie and two equally gorgeous children. His passion for anything to do with aviation and flying is second only to his desire to see people living with MS to get the best out of life.

Lori Lowther Retired - Executive Head of Queensland at Link Market Services Lori Lowther has recently retired from her role of 28 years as the Executive Head of Queensland for Link Market Services. Lori holds a Bachelor of Business, Accounting from the Queensland University of Technology. Lori is an active member of numerous groups including Equity Capital Markets, Private Equity and Venture Capital Global Group, Open Briefing Group, Financial Advisers United and the MS Angels. Kaja Ferro The Highpoint Group of Companies Kaja Ferro completed a Bachelor of Business Management at QIT in 1986 and then worked in market research for several years before moving to the Department of Industry Development to work on special projects. Kaja married her husband Peter in 1989 and gradually joined the family property business on a part time basis while raising 4 kids. Kaja worked closely with her father in law, Lou Ferro who was a well-known Queensland builder and helped to manage the commercial property portfolio. In 2009 Peter was diagnosed with MS (having had symptoms since 2000). After Peter s diagnosis, Kaja applied her research skills to learning about MS and was disappointed to find that the treatments are mostly ineffective and have adverse consequences and that despite decades of research a cause or cure seemed so remote. On seeing a short TV segment on Professor Michael Pender s EBV research findings, Kaja was inspired to learn more and thus connected to MS Queensland and has been an incredible advocate for their research work to date.

Courtney Talbot Philanthropist Courtney began her career as a nurse, specialising in oncology and palliative care. Through nursing, she developed a deep love of working closely with people who need more specialised assistance. Rowing is another passion, which Courtney credits with teaching her the life skills of discipline, time management and dedication. After competing at a state and national level for many years, Courtney is now a Level 3 coach specialising in high performance rowing. As a Council member to the Queensland Library Foundation, Courtney established the Next Generation sub-committee to engage young people in giving. For the past two years, she s been using the wealth of knowledge and experience surrounding her to develop the committee s members, directions and goals. She successfully launched the Foundation s FLAME Network in 2015, which provides opportunities for young professionals to become involved in philanthropy, and recently joined the Brisbane Festival s Giving Committee. Courtney s upbringing, studies and career have given her a passion for helping people, both individually and at a community level; and she enjoys being able to take positive action and make a difference. Courtney is looking forward to sharing her skills, experience and unique perspective on giving with MS Queensland. Michelle Dooley Philanthropy Manager MS Queensland Michelle Dooley is MS Queensland s Philanthropy Manager. A passionate fundraiser and communicator, Michelle has an extensive background in major giving, philanthropy, media and advertising. Her successful and varied career has been driven by making positive connections and helping others. Michelle spent 20 years in media and advertising, managing new business, product launches and client relationships for leading Australian media brands (Sydney Morning Herald, Austereo and DMG). She also worked in advertising agencies in Ireland, leading award winning campaigns for many household names, such as Guinness. Then in 2005, Michelle made the career transition into major giving and philanthropy. Working for Starlight Children Foundation in Victoria, she successfully developed their Philanthropy program from its dormant, post GFC position. On relocating to Queensland, she established Starlight s Major Giving Program here. In both states, her ability to develop strong networks and key donor relationships was instrumental in increasing giving to Starlight s programs and creating a solid foundation for growth. Michelle joined MS Queensland in 2014. Here she has successfully worked with an incredible team to raise the critical funds needed to make MS Queensland s globally significant Phase 1 Clinical Trial a reality. Michelle is now passionately focused on raising much needed funding and awareness to bridge the gap in available high care housing for people with MS in Queensland.

MS Queensland simply couldn t make the positive impact we do in the lives of those living with MS without the kindness and support of people like you. THANK YOU SO MUCH. ProjectDignity120.com.au MS Queensland 2017
