Speaker Norihiro Takahashi President, Government Pension Investment Fund Mr. Norihiro Takahashi is President of Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) since April 2016. Prior to his role at GPIF, he was Representative Director and President of JA Mitsui Leasing, Ltd. Previously from 1980 to 2015, Mr. Takahashi was Senior Managing Director at The Norinchukin Bank, where he held various leadership positions in the areas of investment and management including General Manager of Credit & Alternative Investment Division, General Manager of Fixed Income Investment Division, Deputy General Manager of Corporate Planning Division and Deputy General Manager of Financial Planning & Control Division. He also served as General Manager at Nagasaki Branch of the Bank. He receives his Bachelor of Arts degree in Law from the University of Tokyo. Daisuke Hamaguchi Senior Executive Director & CIO, Pension Fund Association Daisuke Hamaguchi is the Chief Investment Officer of Pension Fund Association (PFA), Japan. He is responsible for managing its assets totaling US$110 billion. He leads a team of seven directors, and an investment staff of 30, which oversee the following groups; Domestic and International Equities, Fixed Income, Alternative Investments, Private Equities, Real Estate, Investment Strategies, and Administration. He joined PFA in 2005. Prior to joining PFA, he was the Chief Investment Officer of Mitsubishi Corporation Pension Fund, and was also the Deputy Treasurer of Mitsubishi Corporation. Prior to these positions, he worked for Mitsubishi s Capital Markets Group for over 20 years. There he worked in a broad range of areas throughout the firm, including M&A advisory work, private equity investment, corporate finance, derivatives trading, ABS and MBS portfolio management, hedge fund investment, and trading of copper. He lived in London from 1990 to 1999. He received a bachelor s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Kyoto University, Japan, and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Philippe Desfossés CEO, Etablissement de Retraite Additionnelle de la Fonction Publique (ERAFP) By a decree published on June 11 2008, Mr. Philippe DESFOSSES has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of ERAFP, the French Public Service Additional Pension Scheme. Mr. DESFOSSES is a graduate of Sciences Po in Paris and the French National School of Administration. He started his career at the French Treasury (Ministry of Economy and Finance) in 1985, successively as Deputy Head of the Enterprise Financing Desk, Deputy Head of the Sub-Saharan Africa Desk, Financial Attaché in New York (1989-1992) and Head of the Insurance Desk (1992-1995). From 1995 to 1997, he was Special advisor to Mr. Jacques Barrot, the French Minister of Labour and Social

Since, 26th June 2016 Philippe Desfossés is also vice-chairman of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC). CIO, Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA) Dennis Johnson, CFA, is the Chief Investment Officer for TIAA Endowment & Philanthropic Services. Dennis is also the Chief Investment Officer for TIAA, FSB ( TIAA Trust ) responsible for the supervision, oversight and direction of all investment processes utilized by TIAA Trust and TIAA Individual Financial Services. He leads the Investment Management Group and the Investment Strategy Group. Dennis has over 36 years of experience making asset allocation, investment, and portfolio management decisions for retail, family offices and institutional investors, including retirement funds, foundations and endowments. He also has substantial global investment experience across all major asset classes, alternative, real assets and currency hedging strategies. Dennis has 33 years of experience advising and consulting with institutional investors around the world on sustainable investment and comprehensive ESG policies. He sits on the investment committee and risk management group and oversees the development and implementation of our responsible and impact investing solutions for our clients. Prior to joining TIAA Trust, Dennis was Chief Investment Officer of Comerica Bank in Dallas, Texas where he supervised and led all investment related activities for Comerica Trust Company, Comerica Securities and World Asset Management; overseeing $150 Billion in assets, of which $35 billion was under discretionary management. Prior to Comerica, Dennis was Managing Director and lead investor for Shamrock Holdings (a private family office), and Senior Portfolio Manager Global Equity at California Public Retirement System (CALPERS), responsible for oversight of CALPERS global investments and policies. Dennis received his Master in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University, and BA in Economics from Virginia Military Institute. Dennis is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.

Alyssa Rieder, CFA, CIPM Vice President, Chief Investment Officer Alyssa Rieder joined Dignity Health in 2011 and serves as the organization's Chief Investment Officer, responsible for management and oversight of Dignity Health s $10 billion investment portfolio. Prior to joining Dignity Health, Alyssa Rieder spent three years at the Office of the Treasurer of the Regents of the University of California system, helping manage the retirement and endowment assets for the U.C. Campuses, Medical Centers, and Laboratories. At U.C., she focused on managing Emerging Market and Global Equity Investments. Before joining U.C., Alyssa worked for ten years at Franklin Templeton Investments where she was a lead Portfolio Manager on a mutual fund as well as Research Analyst and Sector Team Leader in Financial Services research. Prior to attending graduate school, Alyssa worked in management consulting and was the CFO/COO of a bay area social service agency. Alyssa holds an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business where she was an Arjay Miller Scholar and a B.A. in Quantitative Economics with honors from Stanford University. She is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco, the CFA Institute, and the CIPM Association. Alyssa is also a board member, Investment Committee chair, and Audit Committee Chair for Castilleja School in Palo Alto and on the board for Sempra Energy for their Nuclear Decommissioning Trust. Alyssa lives in Menlo Park, California with her husband and two daughters. Yuji Horikoshi CIO, Mitsubishi Corporation Pension Fund Yuji Horikoshi joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 1983 and has worked for Mitsubishi s Finance Department and Capital and Money Markets Group for 30 years. He was CIO of Mitsubishi Corporation Capital in Tokyo from 2004 to 2006, Co-CEO of Minerva Alternative Strategies (CPO/CTA) in New York from 2006 to 2009 and Managing Director of Minerva Capital in London from 2009 to 2010. He is now responsible for managing the Corporation s pension fund s asset totaling US$3 billion. He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hokkaido. He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.

Yasuyuki Kato, Ph.D. Professor, Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University He has been specialized in the research and development in investment technology and asset management since he joined Nomura in 1980. He has held positions as the head of global quantitative research and a board member of Nomura until 2010. Now he also holds positions of a member of the management board of the Government Pension Investment Fund(GPIF), an educational committee member of the Securities Analysts Association, a senior advisor of the Money Design,, etc. Wakako Taniguchi Senior Consultant Russell Investments Japan Co., Ltd. Wakako Taniguchi is a Senior Consultant with Consulting Division of Russell Investments Japan. She is responsible for consulting services for pension fund clients which include governance, asset allocation, investment structure, manager selection and performance monitoring. Prior to joining Russell in 2010, she was with Daiwa Institute of Research and Daiwa Fund Consulting as a consultant for pension plan sponsors since 1999. From 2006-2007, she was a visiting scholar in insurance and risk management at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She received Ph.D. in Business Administration and MBA from University of Tsukuba and BA in Economics from The University of Tokyo. She is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analyst Association of Japan(CMA). Tsuyoshi Oyama Partner, Head of the Center for Risk Management Strategy, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited Tsuyoshi joined Deloitte in 2010 after working more than 20 years at the Bank of Japan, first mainly as a senior economist of the research department and then most recently as deputy director-general in Financial System and Bank Examination Department. At the BoJ, he led Basel II implementation in Japan, and worked as a member of several meetings of the Basel Committee on Bank Supervision. He was seconded to the Policy Development and Review Department of the International Monetary Fund during 1993-1997. In Deloitte, Tsuyoshi leads advisory for large financial institutions and global corporate to 1) help adapt their risk management to post-crisis regulatory and macroeconomic environments, and also 2) build effective ERM based on risk appetite.

Hisae Sato Chief Investment Officer, Finance Department, NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD. Hisae Sato is the Chief Investment Officer of global pension funds of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Prior to joining Nissan Motor, she worked for AIG Global Investment Group and Watson Wyatt K.K. As an investment consultant, she advised Japanese pension plan sponsors and multi national pension plan sponsors on a range of investment issues at Watson Wyatt. She holds a BA in Liberal of Arts from International Christian University.
