P Presenters: AMRUT JOSHI MASTERCLASS ON GDPR Amrut Joshi is the Founder of GameChanger Law Advisors (GLA). In a career that has spanned almost 15 years, he previously worked with some of India s most reputed law firms, before founding GLA in October 2011. Amrut s practice is focused on Venture Capital, M&A, Sports and Gaming Laws. However, to use a cricketing metaphor, he has evolved into an all-rounder corporate lawyer, having advised numerous entrepreneurs and start-ups at various stages during their business lifecycle, and on a variety of corporate and commercial transactions. Apart from being a retained counsel for several fast-growing startups, he has also been trusted in equal measure by marquee angel investors, venture capital funds and promoters to represent them on various corporate transactions. His experience has spanned various sectors, including companies in the TMT, Education, Medtech and Sports sectors. As a technology lawyer, he regularly advises several global technology startups on various kinds of technology licensing agreements, IT Outsourcing and Offshoring Agreements, Teaming Agreements, legal issues emanating from Cloud Computing, and on data privacy issues. Amrut regularly speaks at various fora on contemporary corporate law, technology law and sports law issues. He is also a frequent visitor to campuses, including the International Institute of Sports Management (IISM) in Mumbai where he has taught Sports Law, and at the Gujarat National Law University, where he has taught a certificate course on Gaming Laws. Amrut graduated from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru in 2003. ADITYA SHAMLAL Aditya Shamlal is a Partner at GameChanger Law Advisors (GLA) and heads the Firm s New Delhi office. He previously worked as an Associate at one of India s largest law firms and as a junior attorney with an eminent Supreme Court Advocate in Delhi, before joining GLA in 2012. Armed with nearly 10 years of experience, he is spearheading GLA s practice in the startup and sporting hotbeds of the National Capital Region (NCR). Aditya s experience is also all-round in nature. Apart from being the retained legal counsel to several exciting technology startups, he represents Investors and Investee Companies on a host of angel and venture capital deals and strategic acquisitions. Some of his most prominent deals have been in the TMT, Education, Manufacturing and Logistics industries.
