Provided leadership for $2.5MM, 5-year capital campaign, tripling private sector funding and broadening investor base. Resulted in hiring of lobbyist, expanded economic development marketing, provided major convention incentive funds. Strengthened overall lobbying effort for transportation, industrial park, and state university facilities resulting in increased state funding for each area. Developed public-private funding for and design of new $3MM Economic Development offices and visitor center. Organized yearly Washington DC fly-ins with Board Executive Committee to meet with Iowa House and Senate leadership.
