I kid you not- I never knew there were so many different types of soap!the author does a nice job explaining what soap is, where it comes from, the different types, and includes fantabulous recipes! I can't wait to try some.i'm all for ditching the store bought crap and going AU natural.great book and I recommend it to you! This is good book to make soap at home. In this book you will find step by step instructions to make soap. Methods of making soap are well defined. You can use these methods to make different types of soaps. You can uses these homemade soaps or you can also sell and earn lots of money from this. Wonderful book... I don't recommend this book. Directions are vague, as use half a bar of castile soap without giving weight of the bar, or a "block" of glycerine. Does not go into importance of being careful using lye except that you should use rubber gloves. Doesn't really explain if utensils, pans, blender, can be used for other things besides making the soap. Doesn't tell you how many molds and their size you need after "cooking" up a batch of soap. Maybe if you're into doing a lot of guessing this is the book for you. I will keep searching for something better. Very disappointed. Last month when I was in Vegas, I came across a store that sold soaps that were hand made. I bought one but I decided to figure out how to make them and I came across this book by chance. I am delighted by how easy I can follow the instructions and now i have my own collection but more importantly I can also make gift. This is a well-written book about homemade soap. Lately a lot of people have been working on homemade soap because it's very healthy and I like how the author goes into detail about what each soap is in its benefits. recommended book for anyone who's looking into this topic.
I always wanted to make soap myself for my skin and my baby. The book is just amazing! It gives a lot of different soap recipes with different benefits, so anyone will find the right soap for themselves. Also, I liked that it gives you simple and easy soap recipes that anyone can do it, it takes just about 10 minutes. A great way to save money, and make soap smell and act the way you want. This book is easy to follow, and all of the "recipes" are easy as well. I have tried 5 so far and they have all been a success and a hit! I like the thought that it is homemade and these book are so simple and easy to follow...i can choose what type of ingredients to be used based on the type of homemade soap that I want to make. And, guess what I start collecting raw materials now for that homemade soap that I'm interested to make.basic of all the basic homemade soap.
