Company Timeline Biographies (placeholder) Allen Gilmer: Prior to co-founding Drillinginfo in 1999, Allen was an independent oilman for 7 years, cofounding three profitable E&P companies. He began his oil patch career with Marathon Oil Corporation, as a geophysicist working in Research, Seismic Acquisitions, and South American exploration. Allen is active in all aspects of Drillinginfo s new product development and is widely recognized for his industry leadership and vision. He holds several patents in the field of multi-component seismology. He received his BA in Geology from Rice University and his MS in Geology from University of Texas at El Paso. Ed Perry: Ed joined Drillinginfo s executive management team in 2011 to support the company s rapid growth and expansion of services. Ed s previous experience includes leadership positions with several successful companies providing software and consulting services to the major global E&P companies. Ed has led offices in the USA, Europe and Southeast Asia, serving the North Sea, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia as well as the United States. Ed began his professional career in E&P services working for McDermott, Inc. and in the production side of the business for British Petroleum. He has also been a venture capitalist, investing in startups in the industry. Ed earned his bachelor s and master s degrees from Rice University in Chemical Engineering. He recently held a Master Teacher position with The Acton School, a nationally recognized entrepreneurial MBA school located in Austin. Dave Piazza: Dave joined Drillinginfo in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer after eight years in the healthcare software industry, where he was the CFO for a public company selling software and services to hospitals and other healthcare providers. He also served as that company s head of services and implementation as they successfully transitioned from a public to a private company in a take private transaction. Prior to that, Dave was a CFO and senior executive at both public and private telecommunications companies, building fiber optic networks and rolling out competitive local and long distance services to an emerging
deregulated telecom industry. Dave started his career at Arthur Andersen in Chicago, graduated from the University of Illinois and is a member of the American Institute of CPA s. Maria Carballosa: Maria joined Drillinginfo in 2013 as Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, she leads global marketing for Drillinginfo and is responsible for brand strategy, demand generation, corporate communications and product marketing. Maria brings extensive experience leading global marketing programs for Fortune 50 technology and engineering companies. Prior to joining Drillinginfo, Maria held executive marketing positions with Dell, Honeywell, Motorola and Compaq.
