Follow the sections that pertain to your particular installation. This will help you avoid costly mistakes. In addition to proper installation, read all operating and safety instructions. Prior to installation, inspect cabinet and top to ensure that no damage has occurred in transit. If damage has occurred, or a visible defect exists, do not proceed with installation, and advise your supplier immediately. 3 VALENCIA Single Drawer Vanity CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS C abinets must be fixed to a nog and at least one stud in the wall. The nog siz e should be 5 0 x 7 5 mm. U se a stud finder to locate studs & nogs in finished walls. 50 5 0 mm from top of cabinet to centre of nog. 850 A height of 8 5 0 mm from the floor to the top of the vanity top is recommended. TOOLS AND MATERIALS REQUIRED - (Not Supplied) TO O LS MA TER IA LS - Not supplied & must be purchased separately 1 0 g x 7 5 mm Pan H ead S crews 20 mm Fixing washers To suit pipework To suit screws S tud finder INSTALLATION 1 D raw er removal ( a) O pen the drawer and carefully lift up on the end of the drawer to release it from the runner locator pins. It may be necessary to gently pry the runner away from the drawer. ( b) The drawer is now only held by the runner hooks at the back and can be pulled out in the direction shown. ( c) For 7 7 29 6 A - * : To make the installation easier remove the cabinet door. To release the door hinges press the buttons at the rear of the hinges. B utton H ook Locator pin Runner hook
4 VALENCIA Single Drawer Vanity 2 C hang ing d raw er trims ( O ptional) N O TE : This section is only applicable if you have purchased alternate trim for your vanity cabinet. ( a) A fter the drawer has been removed ( refer to section 1 ), unscrew the trim fixing screws from each angle bracket located behind either side of the trim. Trim N O TE : Ensure that plumbing holes are positioned to allow for a maximum height of 26 0 mm between the bottom of the basin to the base of the trap. Maximum height 26 0 mm A ngle brackets A ngle brackets ( b) W ith a suitably siz ed hole saw, drill the holes for the water supply and waste. ( c) H aving drilled the required holes fit the cabinet into position over the pipework. ( b) U nscrew the 3-4 screws from underneath the trim and remove the trim from the cabinet. N O TE : K eep the screws for use later on. N O TE : B efore fastening the cabinet make sure that it is sitting level and square. ( c) Fix the new trim in place using the screws that were removed from the original trim. 3 W ater supply and w aste pipe holes N O TE : S crews should be positioned evenly and fixed into nogs or studs. 50mm ( a) Measure and mark the centres for water supply and waste pipes on the back of the cabinet. 4 F ix ing the vanity to the w all ( e) Fix the cabinet to the wall using at least 6 screws for the 7 5 0 mm & 9 0 0 mm cabinets and 8 screws for the 1 20 0 cabinets ( min 1 0 g x 7 5 mm) and * 20 mm washers. S crew through the back wall so that they screw into the nog and stud( s) in the wall behind. * W ashers must be used to spread the load.
W 5 VALENCIA Single Drawer Vanity 5 V anity top ( a) U npack the top and check for any damage that might have occured in transit. C heck and confirm the fit of your selected tapware. ( b) A pply a continuous bead of silicone ( not supplied) to the top edge of the cabinet sides and back. Ensure there are no gaps in the sealant bead. This will ensure the top stays securely fitted to the cabinet and no water spillage will find its way into the cabinet. 7 D raw er re- installation ( a) To re- install the drawer, extend the runners. Place the drawer onto the runners and slide it back so that the runner hooks insert into the rear of the drawer. R unner hook No silicone on front edge ( b) Make sure the locator pins line up with the holes in the bottom of the drawer and press the drawer down so that the pins slot into place. ( c) Place the vanity top onto the cabinet ensuring that the back is flush against the wall and there is an even overhang on either side of the cabinet. Locator pin ( c) For 7 7 29 6 A - * : R e- install the cabinet door. H ook the hinges onto the base plates and press down as shown. H ook = = ( d) W ipe off any excess sealant. 6 W aste and tapw are 8 S ealing ( a) A ll edges MU S T be sealed with an approved S ilicone S ealant. ( a) Fit the waste and tapware. C onnect the water supply to the taps and waste pipe to the waste outlet. ( b) R un hot and cold water and check for leaks. hen satisfied with the results move on to the next section.
