2018 Catfish Festival Open Division Entries General Rules: 1. Articles will be accepted for judging on Thursday, June 28th, from 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. at the Butler County Extension Service in the Raburn and Lucile Hood Meeting Room. 2. Exhibits will be judged on Friday, June 29th. The Raburn and Lucile Hood Meeting Room will be closed to the public during judging. 3. Exhibits will be open for viewing on July 4th July 7th, from 5 p.m. 9 p.m. 4. Items must be removed after viewing on July 7 th (gate fee will apply) or on July 8 th (free festival will be over) from 3-5 p.m. 5. Exhibits will be limited to only one article per person for each class. An exhibitor may exhibit in as many different classes as desired. 6. Exhibits will be accepted only from residents of Butler County. 7. Precautions will be taken to prevent any accidents or loss to persons or exhibits. However, the Butler County Extension Service and Catfish Festival Management will not be responsible for any accidents, loss or damage. Please label all items with Name and Address. 8. Articles exhibited should be items completed during the previous year or items that have not been exhibited in previous years. 9. Food items will be tasted and disposed of following judging. A sample will stay on display. 10. Items that are to be hung should have hardware for hanging. 11. Only the top three exhibits in each class will receive ribbons. 12. A Champion will be named in each of the major categories: Garden Produce, Cultural Arts, Food and Canning. The winner will receive a Champion ribbon. A Grand Champion will be selected from all entries and will receive a Grand Champion rosette.
