RULES FOR EXHIBITORS 1. All classes are open to persons of any age except where stated otherwise. 2. All exhibits must be the unaided work of the exhibitor and not previously entered in this show. 3. An exhibitor may enter up to two items in any one class. They may enter any number of classes 4. All entries, together with fees and a stamped addressed envelope must reach the recorder by 8pm on Saturday 16 th April on the official entry form or on a photocopy 5. Late entries will not be accepted. 6. The envelope will be returned to the exhibitor containing a card with a unique number for each entry. The card must be firmly attached to the exhibit when staged. String will be available on the day. Receipt of the envelope should be regarded as an acknowledgement of both the fee and the entry 7. All exhibits must be brought to the Hall and staged between 7pm and 9pm on the evening before the show, or between 8am and 9am on the morning of the show. They should not be moved before 4:15pm on show day. All exhibits must be cleared by 4:45pm. 8. All exhibitors will provide their own display material. 9. The committee shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits during the show, but will take due care of them. 10. In all classes the number of prizes is left to the discretion of the judges. 11. The decision of the judges is final. 12. Prizes for each class will be: 1 st - 1, 2 nd - 50p. Judges may also award a 3 rd prize certificate and highly commended certificates. Cups will be awarded to section winners 13. The Roger Underwood cup is awarded to the competitor entering the most new classes for the first time. Exhibitors should show that they have not entered a particular class before by placing a * against that class on the entry form. 14. The WI cup will be awarded to the Institute gaining most points in relation to the total number of members of that WI. A single point is awarded for each entry, in addition to any winning points.
