S-P Filter (low-pass) 87.5... 108 MHz, 200 W S-P filter can be used for increasing the attenuation of interfering signals located extremely close to the operational frequency for suppressing side band noise in the transmission path and for attenuating intermodulation products at receiving channels for attenuating transmitting frequencies in the receiving path as a component for combiners with very low channel separation The S-P filter is designed as a high Q, temperature stabilised λ/4 coaxial resonator. Using special temperature-compensated coupling, high stop-band attenuation can be adjusted very close to the pass-band frequency. Several S-P filters can be combined via cables with an electrical length of λ/4. If the stop-band attenuation of the individual filter exceeds 10 db, the total stop-band attenuation can be calculated as ((n 1) x 5 db), whereby n = number of individual filters. The S-P filter must be tuned to the operating channel.
