There were 30 fishers vying for the coveted Champion's hat. In a repeat, Ben Overmars topped them all with a chinook weighing 12lbs 11oz. He caught it at his usual Point Dalco honey hole, same place as last year. Tommy Owen was second, with a 9lb 10oz chinook caught near Owen's Beach. Fitting. Mark Burkey boated a 8lb 14oz chinook off "Rocky Point" for third. Mike Trinchini got fourth, fooling an 8lb 1oz chinook at the Slag Pile. Most of the fish were caught right on the low tide change. Mike Brown carried his teammate Tom Owen into the finals and dominated that game to win the Willie's Horseshoe Tournament. Good time had by all!
