Our system solutions for consumption data recording. Fleible compatible variable
Innovation rooted in tradition. The QUNDIS Group The systematic QUNDIS principle. Consumption metering from a single source For more than 20 years, QUNDIS GmbH has been a pioneer in the development of systems for consumption data recording. We adapt our products consistently to the needs of our customers meter reading s. System solutions Made by QUNDIS help to analyse energy consumption and achieve responsible use of scarce resources. The system solutions from QUNDIS are based on the modular principle. The standardised interfaces and open system architecture of our metering devices allow you a choice of equipment to match the property requirements as well as the straightforward and comprehensive integration of additional s. For eample, you can offer your customers s ranging from a trend consumption graph to high-efficiency energy management using the ennovatis Smartbo. Dortmund Frankfurt Stuttgart Hamburg Erfurt Munich Berlin Leading in Germany and Europe In Germany, the QUNDIS company group is regarded as the leading supplier of measuring devices and readout systems for the consumption-dependent billing of water and heat. In the meantime, our devices are in use in more than 5 million accommodation units in 20 European countries. A connection between the best QUNDIS was created in 2009 by the merger of the long-established companies QVEDIS and KUNDO SystemTechnik. Today, our 220 employees, based at two locations but under a joint roof and in one company, concentrate know-how and innovative strength as a technology leader. At our plant in Erfurt/Thuringia we are producing with our modern, fully automatic production lines electronic heat cost allocators, heat meters in large quantities, water meters, readout systems and communication modules. The smart way to transmit data QUNDIS aims to determine technological progress in the new field of smart metering too. The affiliate company SMARVIS, founded specifically for this field, has been pushing the development of system etensions for the combined transmission of electricity and gas values. Consistently compatible Another advantage of our systematic approach: All newly developed QUNDIS products are compatible with their predecessors. Metering devices of different generations can be used in parallel within one property without major costs being run up for new devices. And if the local conditions or your requirements on the scope of performance change a change of system or upgrade within the QUNDIS product family is almost always possible! Qsuite 5 the software that keeps everything running Q suite 5 is the new platform where parameters can be set for all the software modules of the meters used, and meter readout can take place. An intuitive standardised interface ensures user friendly use. In addition, standard eport formats are supported, making integration in your billing systems easier. The software is future-proof, simple to use and is light on resources. An integral component our Special emphasis is placed on customer at QUNDIS. With our eperienced staff, a tailor-made training program and coordinated project planning and consultancy s, we support your problem-free use of our systems. basic opto The on-site reading system, which functions reliably. Q basic makes the introduction into the acquisition of consumption data easy. And as accurate and reliable as you epect it from QUNDIS. Q basic is suitable for tasks and properties which do not require comple data evaluation or a particularly fast readout procedure. And personal contact to the user (tenant) is included. The electronic system that measures automatically. Q opto combines the personal contact to the tenant with a simplified, electronic reading process. With Q opto, the data will be read out regularly and directly in the apartment. By using appropriate devices and software, the data transfer is performed by pressing a button and without errors. The classic solution. Sometimes the tried-and-trusted solutions are the best. Because Q basic includes devices which are read out individually and directly in the flat. The measuring results are recorded manually by the meter-reader. The etended solution. Q opto provides more data than Q basic. The meter-reader can compare consumption values with those of the previous year while still in the flat, for eample. In addition, he can access monthly values stored in the device. Advantage: Q basic Property management/owner Advantage: Q opto Property management/owner Low initial investment requirement Low initial investment requirement Regular contact to tenants Regular contact to tenants Display of meter statuses with checksum for electronic devices Error-free electronic data readout Storage of monthly values Comparison with previous year s values possible Mechanical water meter Heat meter calculator unit Electronic water meter Heat meter Infrared communication head 4 5
walk-by The mobile system that also works safely when passing by. Q walk-by works without the need to enter apartments and offices. Instead, the reading receives the data easily, fast and safely in the public accessible spaces of the building. In the case of smaller systems, he can quite often even receive the data from outside, without having to enter the building. The advantages of Q walk-by: The tenant does not have to make any appointments and does not have to be present. The reading s do not need any project planning and installation for data collectors. Advantage: Q walk-by Property management/ Owner Low follow-on costs/ costs Simple, fast and error-free readout procedure Time-saving process Radio readout without entering the flat Protects the tenant s privacy Fully electronic, fast and error-free data transmission Possibility of integrating measuring devices from other manufacturers The simple readout method The Q walk-by system consists of measuring devices which transmit current consumption data at a pre-set time and within a fast interval. A mobile data collector receives the radio telegrams. Following a plausibility check it sends them wirelessly to a netbook or laptop via a Bluetooth interface. The software on the netbook or laptop manages the received data and shows the meter-reader the current progress of the procedure. The meter reading can then comfortably eport the data and read them into a billing program. M-Bus The wired system that bundles data flows. As the name indicates that the Q M-Bus is based on the meter bus standard. This uniformity of the interface is a great advantage of the wired meter reading system: devices of different manufacturers can be operated without problems at the bus. The Q M-Bus can also be used for all types of consumption meters as well as a variety of sensors and actuators. Advantage: Q M-Bus Property management/ Owner Low follow-on costs/ costs Simple, fast and error-free readout procedure at a central unit for fast and correct billing (with remote data transmission option) Greater resistance to interference Readout without entering the flat Protects the tenant s privacy Shorter readout intervals possible Interference-free cable network Q M-Bus stands out through high fleibility and resistance to interference. It is suitable for application cases where measuring devices are to transmit instantaneous values or where a few measuring devices which are to be recorded centrally are spread over a wide area. Possibility of saving energy through prompt consumption information System etension by adding the radio system Q AMR Possibility of integrating measuring devices from other manufacturers The characteristic feature of the system is that all measuring devices are connected via a 2-wire bus cable to a building control unit, a remote display or a level converter. The meter statuses can be read out centrally electronically and also via the display in the case of building control units or remote displays. Remote data readout is possible with the appropriate equipment. If a Q AMR radio system from QUNDIS is added to the Q M-Bus network, additional radio-supported measuring devices of the Q AMR system such as heat cost allocators can be integrated. AMR The high-end system, which reads the data from a distance. Q AMR (Automatic Meter Reading) from QUNDIS stands for modern radio technology of the highest standard. The water and heat consumption of a household is recorded and transmitted wirelessly to network nodes. The measured data can be read at almost any location, e.g. in the office of the meter reading, by radio, by modem or Ethernet interface through a Gateway. The ennovatis Smartbo the clever step towards energy monitoring Integrating the versatile gateway Smartbo from our technology partner ennovatis turns the innovative automatic meter reading system Q AMR into a highly efficient energy management system in no time. Q AMR gains convenient regulation functions thanks to the ennovatis gateway. These include the active monitoring of heating systems, for eample, data transmission using different paths of communication, automatic error message management, identification and comparison of peak consumption as well as reliable recording and data transmission for up to 1,000 measuring devices. Smartbo The fascination of boundless possibilities Q AMR enables the consumption of systems of all sizes to be read out. The values are transmitted to a central point via a GSM phone network or broadband cable with a high level of data security. The data can also be used for statistics for the housing industry or to show consumption trends. Q AMR is compliant with the European KNX standard for home automation. The standardised interfaces make it easy to connect the system with other systems (heating regulation, controlling of lights and blinds). From the simple installation of measuring devices and network nodes to self-configuring radio technology Q AMR is as easy as it is intelligent. Advantage: Q AMR Property management/ Owner Low follow-on costs/ costs Simple, fast and error-free readout procedure for fast and correct billing (with remote data transmission option) Radio readout without entering the flat Protects the tenant s privacy Adaptability and etension to eisting system sizes Possibility of saving energy through prompt consumption information Energy monitoring/energy management in connection with ennovatis Smartbo Consumption data readout by radio Add-on radio module and mechanical water meter Electronic water meter Add-on radio module and heat meter Impulse adapter Gateway Network nodes 10 11
