The book only gives the Move Notations (Be5, Nf3, etc) and it does not have even one diagram of a chessboard with pieces to help visually see what he is trying to explain. Unbelievably boring and worthless. To give you an idea of what I am talking about..."the King's Defense starts with d4 Nf6..blah blah..c4 g6 blah blah... Nc3 Bg7... blah blah". If that sounds like your idea of a fun way to learn something, go for it! I played chess with my brother several times and I never won to him. I tried many strategies to him but I failed. I felt I am a beginner so I want to learn more about chess. I have a friend that presented this book to me and I have it now. When I started reading this book I think I really need to learn chess from the start. There are lots of strategies in this book but there are no pictures of them and it is hard to imagine if it is just a plain text. I am not a devotee of playing chess. In spite of the fact that there are times that i took a stab at playing it with my sibling who taught me to play it. Playing it can get you such a great amount of fulfillment in the wake of doing your moves that can make your adversary think harder as you did. You can truly practice your brain by playing this diversion board. The book is really ideal for both apprentice and for the individuals who as of now playing chess. The books subtle elements are anything but difficult to take after so don't feel that the amusement is just for the brainy. I like that this book explains the history of chess and how it is played throughout the world. I learned everything I know about chess from my Grandfather and he was self taught but amazing. So I remembered quite a bit from playing as a kid but this book really did have some great strategies laid out. Each piece is thoroughly explained as well as what their purposes are and how they should move on the board. There are images included that are very beneficial for a beginner and the advice given is truly priceless. I chose this book to be my guide. Thanks to the author. Iâ ve read a lot of chess books in the past months. I like downloading the ones for beginners even though Iâ m not new to the game because in my experience, they offer something that more advanced guides donâ t. This one even had a glossary which included some terms that I was not familiar with and Iâ m delighted with the new information. Overall, great read! The author did good on his research and I particularly liked the collection of basic offensive and defensive strategies that he included here. Would be very useful to newbies!

Chess is one of the best strategic board games ever created that allows people to think different kinds amd combination of moves to defeat the opponent. What I like about this book is that it contains different kinds of defense tactics that will safeguard most of the officials and more importantly the king. It is a very informative guide designed for people wanting to learn the processes of the game. I have known how to play chess for a while, but was very weak on strategy.
