QUALITY FACTORS DEFINING GRAND DESIGN S BED LINEN THE COT TON We use only the best cotton yarn on the market. A combed, compact yarn taken from the long staple cotton fiber. This will guarantee a high quality yarn that gives you a final product which is more durable and you achieve extreme smoothness and avoid fuzz and pilling. This is of course not a standard yarn, but you find it in all our bed linen qualities, as well as Egpytian cotton in some designs. THE FINISHING When the fabric is finally woven you need to make a finishing process to help retain the endurance of the look and feeling. There are many types of finishing to choose from and we prefer sanfor and mercerizing. These treatments will increase the strength, softness and luster of the fabric. A good thing to know, is that these treatments can t be used on fabrics of less quality. It will not work. Simple as that! YARN NUMBER THREAD COUNT The yarn number is a way to determine performance characteristics. Bed linen sheets generally range from a yarn size of 40-100. The higher the number, the finer the yarn, allowing more of them to fit in a square inch of fabric. During the weaving process you add together the thread counts from warp and weft, and a general quality indicator would be 200 thread counts. In our productions we use mainly yarn size 50-80 with a thread count of 205-300. It feels smooth, cool and comfortable against your skin. TAILOR-MADE IN PORTUGAL The final touch is one of the steps in the production we are most proud of: the fact that all our bed linen are tailor-made in Portugal. By handpicking the most skillful craftsmen we can guarantee you only the best. After the product is approved, our quality certificate will be sealed within the packing, before leaving the facility. A further guarantee that all the high set standards of our product is followed in every aspect. In addition we also offer a unique custom-made service, suitable for special inquiries.

Sheets Our tailor-made sheets can be manufactured in any size and confection to match our bed linen. We consider all measures standard and we supply a cotton percale and a cotton satin, so the choice is yours. Do you prefer envelope corners, or elastic corners? We offer both. Most popular is our fitted sheet, made with a slim-fit shape and envelope corners. The sheet stays perfect in place on your mattress, and the Grand Design label accents the bottom right corner.
