briefinglab.com Speed is nothing without precision. Arioli knows it well. If you are looking for maximum speed without compromising the best jetting precision, ArioPrint is your best choice. The winning features of ArioPrint are: High stiffness, obtained thanks to welded stabilized monolithic structure Direct drive kinematic system Data transmission by optical fibers Double channel printing head with 300 dpi native resolution Top printing quality at 250 mt/h with 600 600 dpi That s reality, not just a promise. INDUSTRY FOCUS: EMERGING MARKETS ARIOPRINT SELLS INTO GROWING PAKISTAN MARKET Arioli SpA, manufacturer of the ArioPrint (digital textile printing machine), has sold four machines to Sarena Industries and one to Sapphire Textile in Pakistan, considered one of the fastest growing markets in the world. Gianluca Macchi, Arioli area manager, said: Pakistan is a very big market, I would say the fastest growing digital market in the world. Our machine has 16 print heads which, due to its software and to the peculiarity of its print heads (double channel two colours each), is able to perform almost like a 32-head printer. According to the company, the advantages of the ArioPrint is that it has flexibility, productivity, quality and precision. The machine is equipped with Kyocera print heads KJ4B, with 300 dpi resolution which, according to Macchi, gives the opportunity to print very different solutions, starting from 300x300 dpi up to 1200x1200 dpi and with all the mixed resolution (300x600, 300x900, 300x1200 etc). While all electronical configurations and hardware are Arioli s own property, the ArioPrint has an open system when it comes to inks. The customer can use all the inks approved by Kyocera and the machine can print on any kind of substrate (polyamide, silk, wool, cotton, viscose, polyester, etc), with a range of inks, acid, reactive and disperse, Macchi added. The building philosophy which has driven the ArioPrint project since the first step, has always been oriented to create a machine which was able to guarantee the maximum stability and solidity, in order to achieve the best jetting precision. The result is a four-tonne machine, with monolithic welded stainless steel, combined with an aramid fibre belt equipped with advanced automatic system of measurement and positioning, Macchi continued. The ArioPrint can also be integrated in to the Group other product lines, such as its steamers, washers and dryers. The ArioPrint was recently on show at FESPA 2017 in Hamburg in May, where the company also displayed its iq-digital, the new digital hybrid machine for the DTF industry (see p. 46 for more). TECHNOLOGY Print Flexibility Needed for Industry 4.0 MHM, part of the Arioli Group, officially launched its iq-digital DTG printing machine, at this year s FESPA in Hamburg at the beginning of May and the company has said that the first two machines are set to be placed in Europe. Marketed by MHM as being the first digital hybrid solution for true high volume, high quality textile printing, the iq-digital has a maximum speed of 1080 pieces p/h and a maximum print area of 63 x 120cm, said MHM and is an industrial way of printing, according to the company. This innovation in automated digital production utilises the unique feature of the ground-breaking iq-oval: by its modular design, the machine is perfect to accept the new MHM digital bridge. Printing on both sides of the oval, the iq-digital bridge can personalise two pieces/garments in one high-speed pass. High speed, low and high quantity production runs are possible using the digital technology of the print heads, A design printed by iq-digital technology certificated inks and the reliability of the MHM iq-oval. Adding special effects to digital prints is now achievable, discharge, foil and even flock can be used with DTG all at the same time on the same machine, said MHM. MHM added that launching a fully digital DTG machine is important to the company because: The world is changing. Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation is here, therefore this technology is the answer to the changing markets. This trend also means that individuality will be needed smaller quantities of the same design, meaning that more flexibility is needed and this DTG machine can offer that. Customised prints are also possible with the iq-digital technology. The company said: With the iq-digital MHM has comparable costs per piece and this will rise with popularity. Customisation Key with Shima Seiki Digital Textile Printer Known for its heritage in manufacturing knitwear machinery, Japanese machinery manufacturer Shima Seiki has made its way into the DTG print industry with its SIP160F3 flat-bed printer. The SIP160F3 has been designed with all garments in mind, not just for knitwear, and provides more opportunities to garment manufacturers and suppliers, stated Shima Seiki. With the option of either pigment ink or dye printing, the SIP160F3 offers print solutions at all levels of the market. The reactive or acid dye options are already established globally for the ability of printing on even the most luxurious and high-loft yarns such as wool, cashmere and mohair without detriment to the handle, and now with the recent launch of a pigment ink option the SIP160F3 meets the price, process and productivity needs of the value fashion sector, Shima Seiki continued. The SIP160F3 s flat-bed print area, which is available in two sizes, allows for printing either all-over (front to back) or as a specific placement print directly to made-up garments either singularly or in multiples. This means that manufacturers can print as many different designs, colours and placements as they like onto as many substrates as they can fit on the bed, all-in-one print run, according to the company. Additionally, the adjustable print head height (up to 50mm) caters for printing on 3D structures such as knitwear and items with existing embellishments such as buttons, bows and pockets, the company added. The SIP160F3 is not only pushing boundaries, it is opening doors for manufacturers to partner with retailers and design houses offering quick response and agile manufacturing from next day sampling to long-term, short-run production. The technology also lends itself perfectly to the growing demand for customisation and personalisation, said Shima Seiki. 46 DIGITAL TEXTILE
