Cut the strip into 2 squares 31/2" x 31/2". Pink Rain Clouds Cut 1 strip 31/2 x WOF. Cut the strip into 4 squares 31/2 x 31/2. Yellow Rain Clouds Cut 1 strip 31/2" x WOF. Cut the strip into 6 squares 31/2" x 31/2". Aqua Floral Cut 4 strips 31/2" x WOF for Border 2. Pink Floral Cut 2 strips 31/2" x WOF. Cut the strips into 4 squares 31/2" x 31/2", 16 rectangles 2" x 31/2" and 16 squares 11/2" x 11/2". Aqua Scallop Cut 5 strips 11/2" x WOF. Cut the strips into 12 rectangles 11/2" x 61/2" and 12 rectangles 11/2" x 81/2". Yellow Scallop Cut 5 strips 11/2" x WOF. Cut the strips into 12 rectangles 11/2" x 61/2" and 12 rectangles 11/2" x 81/2". Riley White Solid Cut 1 strip 1" x WOF. Cut the strip into 32 squares 1" x 1". Cut 6 strips 2" x WOF. QUILT ASSEMBLY Refer to the block diagrams for placement of fabrics. Aqua Four Patch Block. Repeat to make 4 Aqua Four- Patch Blocks. Four-Patch Blocks Sew aqua main, pink main, pink clouds, and white birds 31/2" squares together to create Four-Patch A. Aqua Four-Patch Block Four-Patch A Sew a yellow scallop 11/2" x 61/2" rectangle to the left and right sides of Four-Patch A. Press. Sew a yellow scallop 11/2" x 81/2" rectangle to the top and bottom to create the Yellow Four Patch Block. Repeat to make 4 Yellow Four- Patch Blocks. Flower Box Blocks Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the Riley white solid 1" x 1" squares. Place a Riley white solid 1" x 1" square on the top left corner of a pink floral 2" x 31/2" rectangle. Sew on the diagonal line. Trim 1/4" beyond seam. Press. Repeat on the top right corner of the pink floral 2" x 31/2" rectangle to create 16 Unit As. Unit A Yellow Four-Patch Block Sew aqua birds, pink April showers, pink floral, and yellow rain clouds 31/2" squares together to create Four-Patch B. Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the pink floral 11/2" x 11/2" squares. Place a pink floral 11/2" x 11/2" square on a corner of an aqua or yellow rain clouds 31/2" x 31/2" square. Sew on the diagonal line. Trim 1/4" beyond seam. Press. Repeat on all the corners of the rain clouds 31/2" x 31/2" square to create 2 Aqua Unit Bs and 2 Yellow Unit Bs. Aqua Unit B Yellow Unit B Sew a Riley white solid 21/2" x 21/2" square to each side of Unit A to create Unit C. Repeat to create 8 Unit Cs. Four-Patch B Sew an aqua scallop 11/2" x 61/2" rectangle to the left and right sides of Four-Patch B. Press. Sew an aqua scallop 11/2" x 81/2" rectangle to the top and bottom to create the 2 Unit C
Sew a Unit A to the left and right sides of the Unit Bs to create Unit D. Press. Repeat to make 2 Aqua Unit Ds and 2 Yellow Unit Ds. Aqua Unit D Yellow Unit D Sew a Unit C to the top and bottom of a Unit D to create Unit E. Press. Repeat to make 2 Aqua Unit Es and 2 Yellow Unit Es. Block and Sashing Refer to the Quilt Center Diagram for Four-Patch Block, Flower Box Block, and sashing placement. Sew a Four- Patch Block or a Flower Box Block to a Riley white solid 2" x 8½" rectangle. Repeat to make a row with 3 blocks and 2 sashing rectangles. Make 4 block and sashing rows. Quilt Center Assembly Refer to the Quilt Center Diagram for row and sashing placement. Lay out the 4 block and sashing rows and the 3 Riley white solid 2" x 27½" sashing rectangles. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt. Borders Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew side borders first. Aqua Unit E Yellow Unit E Sew a yellow scallop 11/2" x 61/2"rectangle to the left and right sides of Aqua Unit E. Press. Sew a 11/2" x 81/2" yellow scallop rectangle to the top and bottom to complete the Aqua Flower Box Block. Press. Repeat to make 2 Yellow Flower Box Blocks. Sew an aqua scallop 11/2" x 61/2" rectangle to the left and right sides of Yellow Unit E Press. Sew an aqua scallop 11/2" x 81/2" rectangle to the top and bottom to complete the Yellow Flower Box Block. Press. Repeat to make 2 Aqua Flower Box Blocks. Border 1 Side borders should be 37". Top and bottom borders should be 30½". Border 2 Side borders should be 40". Top and bottom borders should be 36½". Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back.
