In this shot, they get excited about Pickett's version of "Hey Jude" on which Duane Allman had just played a scorching solo, and came up with the arrangement. It was also Duane's idea for Pickett to cover the recently released Beatles song. This recording was a seminal point in music history, as people like Eric Clapton and Phil Walden heard Duane's playing for the first time, and had to find out immediately who the guitar player was on that #1 single.
