Sew together and trim to make one 48 x 56 back. Block Assembly 1) Follow Figure 1 and draw a line from the left side to the right side of one 8 ½ Fabric A square. The line starts ¾ down from the top on the left side and down 3 ½ from the top on the right side of the Fabric A square (Fig. 1). 2) Cut the square into two pieces along the line drawn in Step 1 (Fig. 2). 3) Sew one Fabric A piece to each side of one 1 ¼ x 11 Fabric B strip (Fig. 3). 4) Follow Figure 4 and draw a line from the lower left side of the Fabric A piece, 5 below the Fabric B strip to 1 ¼ below the Fabric B strip on the right side of the Fabric A piece. Cut the piece along the drawn line (Fig. 5).
PAGE 4 of 5 5) Re-join the Fabric A pieces with (1) 1 ¼ x 11 Fabric B strip in between them. (Fig. 6). 6) Draw a line from the top to the bottom of the Fabric A piece, 2 from the left side at the top and 2 from the bottom (Fig. 7). Cut the piece along the drawn line (Fig. 8). 7) Re-join the two Fabric A pieces with (1) 1 ¼ x 11 Fabric B strip in between them (Fig. 9). 8) Draw a line from the top of the Fabric A piece, 4 to the right of the Fabric B strip to a point on the bottom of the Fabric A piece, 1 ½ from the Fabric B strip (Fig. 10). PAGE 5 of 5 Quilt Assembly (refer to the quilt layout while assembling the quilt top) 23) Sew (1) of each Block One thru Block Five together to make Row One. 24) Sew (1) of each Block Six thru Block Ten together to make Row Two. 25) Sew (1) Block Eleven, (1) Block Twelve, (1) Block One, (1) Block Two and (1) Block Three together to make Row Three. 26) Sew (1) of each Block Four thru Block Eight together to make Row Four. 27) Sew (1) Block Nine, (1) Block Ten, (1) Eleven, (1) Block Twelve and (1) Block One together to make Row Five. 28) Sew (1) of each Block Two thru Block Six together to make Row Six. 29) Sew the (6) rows together, in numerical order, to make the quilt top. 30) Layer and quilt as desired. 31) Sew the (5) 2 ½ x WOF Fabric N strips together, end to end with 45 seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half, lengthwise with wrong sides together, and press. 32) Bind as desired.
