STEP 1 Read through these instructions thoroughly before you begin assembly. We have found this to be of great value when first assembling this product. STEP 2 Remove all parts and hardware from packing material. Wooden pieces should be placed on a nonabrasive surface (like the carton or carpet) to prevent damage to the finish. PARTS (2) Side Assembly (A) Bottom Assembly (B) Top Assembly (C) Fixed Shelf (D) (2) Door (E) (2) Removable Shelf (F) Top Shelf (G) Cabinet Shelf (H) STEP 3 Identify all parts using diagram at right STEP 4 Identify and count hardware. Hardware pictured is not actual size at right. Assembly of this product requires a Phillips screwdriver and a hammer. We have found it helpful to have a second person assist in at least one step of the assembly. STEP 5 Lay one side assembly (A) on edge. Attach Bottom Assembly (B) by inserting two 1 1/4" #8 screws through predrilled counter sunk holes of side assembly into pilot holes in end of cleats on bottom shelf. Note the holes on the top of the bottom shelf are the front of the unit. DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS COMPLETELY AT THIS TIME. 1 of 5 GBU4080530
STEP 6 Attach Top Assembly (C) by inserting two 1 1/4" #8 screws through predrilled counter sunk holes of side assembly into pilot holes in end of cleats. Note the position of overhang on Top. The cleat furthest away from the edge is the front of the top. DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS COMPLETELY AT THIS TIME. STEP 7 Attach other side assembly (A) using same technique as in STEP 5 and STEP 6. DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS COMPLETELY AT THIS TIME. STEP 8 Stand unit upright. Insert two 1/8 x 1 steel hinge pins into predrilled holes in front corners of bottom shelf and drop two washers over each. 2 of 5 GBU4080530
STEP 9 Mount magnet catch in predrilled holes in underside of fixed shelf (D) using pan head (rounded top) screws provided. Mount one catch plate to back of each door using 1/2" #5 screws. Attach Door pulls by threading pulls through door fronts and secure with machine screws. STEP 10 - a second person is helpful in the next couple of steps. Attach fixed shelf (D) to unit using two 1 ¼ #8 screws. Attach ONLY THE BACK of shelf to both side assemblies using one 1 1/4" #8 screw on each side. This will enable you to pivot the shelf to install the doors. We found it helpful to use one of the doors (E) to hold the shelf in place if working alone. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN THE SCREWS AT THIS TIME. STEP 11 Insert one 1/8" x 1" steel hinge pin into predrilled hole in top edge of each door. Pivot fixed shelf (D) upward and position left door so that predrilled hole in bottom edge engages hinge pin and washers in left front corner of bottom assembly (B). Drop shelf down to trap door in place. 3 of 5 GBU4080530
STEP 12 A second pair of hands helps here. Position right door so that predrilled hole in bottom edge engages hinge pin and washers in right front corner of bottom assembly (B). Close both doors as fully as possible. Grasp door handles with one hand and pivot fixed shelf (D) upward. Align hinge pins in top edge of door with predrilled hole in underside of fixed shelf (D). Drop shelf down to trap doors. Insert two remaining 1 1/4" #8 screws through counter sunk holes in side assemblies (A) to fixed shelf in place. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN THE SCREWS AT THIS TIME STEP 13 Attach top shelf (G) to side assemblies (A) using four 1 ¼ screws through predrilled countersunk holes in side assembly into pilot holes in end of shelf. Tighten all screws. Insert wood plugs into counter sunk holes and tap in with hammer to conceal screws. STEP 14 Insert shelf pins into predrilled holes on inside of side assemblies (A). Make sure the flat side of pins is facing up. Position removable shelves (F) so that grooves in the shelf engage shelf pins. 4 of 5 GBU4080530
STEP 15 Insert shelf pins into predrilled holes on inside of cabinet. Position cabinet shelf (H) so that the one groove is to the back of the cabinet. CARE Dust as needed with soft cloth.
