Almst all FLAGs in Greece during the Prgramming Perid 2007 2013 have been in the same time als LAGs The rle f FLAGs / LAGs is generally cnsidered t be psitive since they: have succeeded in mtivating lcal frce t get actively invlved, have gained the trust f the lcal partnership which created them, enjy the trust f ptential investrs and beneficiaries f Lcal Prgrammes, have incrprated a number f highly cmpetent scientists f a wide variety f expertise, wh have gained great experience in planning and implementing prgrammes and prjects, have acted -in many cases- as incubatrs f innvative initiatives r as intermediaries in intrducing innvatin.

LAGs have been upgraded t Develpment Agencies permanent agents supprting lcal develpment with a wide range f activities such as: mnitring technical prjects c-funded by the Natinal Strategic Reference Framewrk (NSRF) (RDF actins), integrated urban interventins (RDF), supprting Lcal Authrity Enterprises in issues related t energy cnservatin, envirnmental prtectin (RDF), integrated interventins twards strengthening emplyment and fighting scial exclusin (ESF actins)
