TRANSGLOBAL OPERATIONS (J0G) 3 NETS PER DAY WITH 3 MAJOR RELAYS FORWARD AND/OR STORE TRAFFIC M110A, ENCRYPTED, STATION MGR & MM TACTICAL CALLSIGNS SUSTAINED NETWORK OPERATIONS

J0G REMINDERS KEEP PRIMARY FREQUENCY CLEAR MAJOR AND MINOR RELAYS USE TACTICAL CALLSIGNS WE ENCOURAGE MONITORING BUT DISCOURAGE CASUAL CHECKINS JUST TO BE ENTERED INTO THE LOG

J0Q Joint Service ALE Network 3 Area Networks EAST, SOUTH and WEST 3 Intermediate Relay stations interfacing to 10 Region Minor Relays. Several stations scanning 24/7 and able to move traffic around the country. EAST and SOUTH Making progress More stations are stepping up. Some have great operators and great equipment. High noise is preventing them from being effective. WEST Suffering form lack of stations in the correct location. Having difficulty moving Traffic. Effort needs to be made in finding the right station from region 8. Working on the activation procedures using J0G and NSN Working on traffic logging and accountability

TRANSCON DIGITAL OPERATIONS GOOD COVERAGE IN REGIONS 1, 2, 3 AND 10. 2 MESSAGE CENTERS ON HF IN REGION 2 AFB2MC NORTHERN, NY HF ONLY. AFC2MC SOUTHERN, NJ HF AND VHF. 2 VHF MESSAGE CENTERS LINKED TO THE TDN IN CENTRAL AND SE CT. WITH IP LINK TO CENTRAL FL. VHF. FBB (AND BPQ) REQUIRE OFF LINE ENCRYPTION FOR ZNY E TRAFFIC.

TRANSCON DIGITAL OPERATIONS USING M110a AFA1DI IS DEVELOPING A STATION MANAGER COMPATABLE BBS TO REPLACE THE FBB/BPQ NETWORK PROGRAMS (NETMGR) USES MS-DMT OR MILITARY HARDWARE MODEM UNATTENDED OPRATION AUTHORIZED ON TDN FREQUENCIES PRESENTLY NEEDS MESSAGE MANAGER DUE TO ENCRYPTION MANDATE. IF AUTHOR IS ABLE TO GET SPECS FOR USE WITH KEYS, NEW BBS PROGRAM WILL NO LONGER BE DEPENDANT ON MESSAGE MANAGER AND WILL PERMIT MORE ADVANCED BBS TYPE OPERATIONS. ARQ MESSAGE RECIEPT VERIFICATION AUTO FORWARDING - PLUS MORE (B2B) WILL BE COMPATABLE WITH ARMY S STATION MANAGER (MSC Version 2 currently in service) MSC Version 3 Under Development - Radio Modem Interface (RMI) WILL NOT REQUIRE EXPENSIVE MODEMS TO ACCESS (use MSDMT) ALE Compatible MILITARY DATA TRANSMISSION PROTOCALS.

Transcon Pactor Network (WINLINK) PRESENT STATUS Army and Air Force RMS s use their own frequencies but users from either service are permitted to use both. Currently have several stations scanning 24/7 and able to move traffic around the country. EAST and SOUTH groups are making progress and more stations are stepping up. Some have great operators and great equipment but high noise is preventing them from being effective. West is suffering form lack of stations in the correct location. Having difficulty moving Traffic. Effort needs to be made in finding the right station from region 8. We have started working on the activation procedures using J0G and will be working on traffic logging and accountability next.
