This is the foundation for the shaker card. Edge the foundation with Burnt Umber inkpad from Stewart Superior s Palette Hybrid line of inkpads. NOTE: Tricia inked all of the Tags & Cut Outs for this project with Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid inkpad from Stewart Superior as she punched them out of the master sheet. 2008 TVWeekly.com, Inc.
Punch out the small Good Luck tag from the Blue Sheet of Greetings To Go Tags & Cut Outs from Club Scrap. 2 Ink the Begin at the Beginning Rubber Stamp from Club Scrap with Burnt Umber Palette Hybrid inkpad and stamp on the back of the Good Luck tag. The colors coordinate so you can decide if you want to use the pre-printed message or stamp your own. Adhere the stamped tag to the center of the foundation piece. 3 Punch out the medium Thanks frame from the Grey Print Sheet of Tags & Cut Outs. Turn it over to the plain grey side, ink the edges and adhere with adhesive tabs to the middle of the foundation from Step 1 sandwiching the small blue tag. Note that Tricia inked the inside of the Thanks frame with Burnt Umber inkpad. Adhere the narrow frame from the Blue Sheet of Tags & Cut Outs over the Grey Print frame from Step 3. Tricia cut the adhesive squares in half because the frame is so narrow. 4
5 Apply strips of 3-D Foam Mounting Tape to the outside of the Narrow Blue Frame. Be sure that there are no openings this is what will hold the beads inside the shaker card. DO NOT remove the release paper from the top of the tape strips yet. Trim a 3½" x 5" piece of Grafix Clear Craft Plastic from an 8" x 8" sheet. This can be done with a paper trimmer or a craft knife and ruler on a cutting mat. Peel the blue protective liner from both sides of the Craft Plastic after it has been cut. 6 Mount the Flourish stamp from Club Scrap onto an appropriate-sized acrylic block. Ink the stamp with the Black Noir Palette Hybrid inkpad from Stewart Superior. Stamp the Flourish onto the Clear Craft Plastic several times being sure to stamp the perimeter of the Plastic, leaving the middle blank so the message can be read. Set aside to dry. 7 Adhere the large narrow Blue Happy Birthday frame to the large Grey Print Congratulations Frame. The narrow blue frame covers the words on the grey print frame.
Assemble the shaker card. Add seed beads in a variety of coordinating colors inside the 3-D foam mounting tape borders on the card. It doesn t take much to achieve a good shaker s worth of material. You can also use bugle beads, confetti, sequins, or whatever else will fit the depth of the 3-D foam mounting tape being used. 8 9 NOW peel the top release paper from the 3-D foam mounting tape strips. Adhere the stamped Clear Craft Plastic from Grafix to the foam mounting strip. Adhere the outside frame made in Step 7 over the Clear Craft Plastic. The shaker portion of the card is now done, set this aside for now. Trim a piece of red cardstock from the Chapter One Collection from Club Scrap to 9" x 6¼". Score 2¼" in from eadh side of the cardstock and fold in. This creates a gate-fold or cupboard-fold style card. 10
11 Punch out the Happy Birthday tag from the Grey Print Tags & Cut Outs. Ink the edges with Burnt Umber to match all of the other pieces in this card. Fold a 3½" 4" piece of coordinating polka-dot ribbon from the Chapter One Fibers Collection in half. Position it on the left side of the Happy Birthday tag. Punch a 1/16 hole through the folded ribbon and the tag. Adhere the ribbon to the tag with a small red brad. Apply dry adhesive of choice to half of the back of the Happy Birthday tag so that it can be adhered to the right fold of the gatefold of the card. 12 Apply dry adhesive to half of the back of the shaker portion of the card made earlier and adhere to the left fold of the gate-fold of the card. Open the gate-fold and adhere a 4¼" x 6" piece of Kraft Print paper from the Chapter One Collection to the inside. Fold the card closed and then Shake, Shake, Shake oh you know the rest!
Happily Ever After Using the same sandwiching methods as those used in the Happy Birthday Card in the episode, Tricia has created two shakers in this scrapbook page. By creating shaker boxes in the upper left and lower right and adding 3-D foam mounting tape to the opposite corners of the layout Tricia has assured that all of the photos will be even when this page is added to her album.
