Make the Magic Happen: You have several options to create the textured panel. The Wizard automatically adds a line of stitching around the perimeter of the embroidery. We don t want this line because we will be embroidering two repeats of this design side by side. We need to remove it. 12. Click on the Edit Tab. 13. In the lower right hand corner, zoom to 100%. 14. Select Box Select. 15. Begin at the upper left hand corner, and draw a box around the outer line as shown. Page 4 of 7

Repeat stitching an additional design next to the first one. 23. Now, watch the magic happen! Cut away the excess Fabric Magic from around the embroidery. Place the embroidered fabric on top of a pressing surface with the Fabric Magic side up. Hold your iron above the fabric and steam. Voila! 24. Trim both the texture panel and the embroidered panel to 15½ long x 8 wide. Sew: All seam allowances are ⅝. 1. Toggle to Sewing Mode. Select straight stitch A1:2. 2. Thread with sewing thread top and bobbin. 3. Snap on your Clear Seam Guide Foot. 4. Place one of the print side panels right sides together with the embroidered panel matching the 15½ edges. 5. Sew using a ⅝ seam allowance. Press all seam allowances open as you sew. 6. In the same way, add a side panel to the other 15½ side of the embroidery. 7. Repeat these steps to add side panels on each 15½ side of the textured piece. 8. Place one 9 x 21½ rectangle along the bottom of each of the panels you just assembled with right sides together; stitch. Page 5 of 7

9. Place the bag front and back right sides together and sew the bottom seam. 10. Place one of the two 7½ long pieces of webbing over the seam between the embroidered panel and the bottom panel. It will extend approximately ¼ beyond the embroidered panel on each side. 11. Snap on your Edge Joining Foot. 12. Select straight stitch A1:2. Adjust the needle to the left to -1.5. 13. Sew the first edge of the webbing in place. 14. Touch Mirror Side-to-Side to bring the needle to the right. Starting at the same end, sew the other side of the webbing in place. 15. Repeat, adding the other 7½ long piece of webbing over the seam between the texture and the bottom. 16. Place the tote flat on a table. Place the webbing over the seams between the embroidered panel and the side panel, extending it across the bottom, to the seam between the texture panel and the side panel. Mark the edges of the webbing along the bottom seam as shown. 17. Using your seam ripper, open ONE of the seams between the marks. 18. Insert the two cut ends of the webbing into the opening in the seam with ½ or so of the webbing extending inside. Be sure the webbing is not twisted. It may help to pin it as it will be, so you are sure to have it un-twisted. 19. Stitch the seam closed, catching the webbing in place. Press that seam open again. 20. Stitch the webbing, beginning at the opening, and stitching until you reach 1 from the top edge. Stop, pivot, sewing across the webbing over to the other side. Continue sewing down across the bottom and back up the other side until you are 1 from the other top edge. Pivot, sew across the webbing and back to the beginning point. 21. Remove the bag from the machine and with the loose webbing, fold to determine the half way point. Mark with a pin. 22. Place the webbing into position to be sewn, on a flat surface, with the marked middle pin on the bottom seam. 23. Pin in place and sew the other side of the webbing as you did the first. Page 6 of 7

24. Snap on your Clear Seam Guide Foot. 25. Select straight stitch A1:2. 26. Sew the side seams being careful to match up the seams that join the panels. 27. To box the bottom, match the bottom and side seams right sides together, mark a line as shown, 3½ from the point. 28. Stitch on the marked lines. 29. Stitch the side seams in the lining leaving a 6 opening for turning, and box the corners as for the outer bag. 30. Place the outer bag and the lining right sides together. 31. Stitch around the top edge of the bag. 32. Turn and press. 33. Topstitch the opening closed. 34. Snap on your Edge Joining Foot. 35. Select left needle position A1:1. 36. Topstitch the top edge of the bag to keep the lining in place. OK, Fill her up!!!!! Page 7 of 7
