III. LANDSCAPE & BUFFERS [ ] 1. Provide a Tree Protection & Replacement Plan: For sites with residential lots or a subdivision: 2 trees/ lot, and Street trees, and 16 Tree Density Units /AC For sites in residential recreation areas, multi-family, and non-residential individual sites clearing within a minimum yard or a 100 year floodplain. For sites in nonresidential and multi-family subdivisions. [ ] 2. Plan must be sealed by a certified arborist, urban forester or authorized registered professional. [ ] 3. Show compliance with Gwinnett County Tree Protection Ordinance with complete tree density calculations for saved and/or newly planted trees. Buffer area and trees in buffer to be excluded from calculations. If clearing of the required tree density units is proposed, a performance bond must be posted and a development performance agreement must be executed and submitted prior to the issuance of permit to guarantee tree replacement will occur in future phases. [ ] 4. Provide complete plant list giving quantities, botanical names, common names, sizes, and conditions, tree density units and spacing. [ ] 5. Show and label existing tree save areas. Provide calculations. [ ] 6. Show tree protection fencing on plan. Show dripline of tree(s) in plan view. Tree protection fence shall be at dripline of tree at minimum. [ ] 7. Please note on plan: In accordance with the tree protection requirements and landscaping requirements, required trees and shrubs which are not planted upon completion or prior to expiration of a Land Disturbance Permit shall be planted within 30 days of the completion or expiration of said permit unless a performance bond is posted with the department. 5
