THE RAYDOOR METHOD Raydoor designs and manufactures elegant solutions for interior division. Lightweight, translucent, and easy to install, we offer a variety of standard and custom options. The first step towards finding the right Raydoor for your space is to measure - roughly the opening height and width where you d like a Raydoor system installed. Knowing the height and width helps estimate the number of panels and thickness (Model 175 or Model 225) you can use. Next decide how you d like your sliding walls or doors to operate. This will help determine the system configuration best suited for your opening. Last, select the frame and core, and if desired, a lattice design. MODEL 225 core layer edge reveal 2.25 thick frame ( 3 stile & rail ) For larger panel sizes, max 6x8 / 4x10; & commercial applications.25 core layer MODEL 175 1.75 thick For lighter usage, panel max at 3x8 Step 2 CHOOSE HOW YOU WANT THE SYSTEM TO OPERATE System configuration represents our family of dividing solutions, which include Sliding, Bypassing, Pocket, Folding, Pivoting, Fixed, and Stacking walls and doors. Choosing a system configuration is THE primary design consideration when planning how you intend to use the space. Systems are listed below. Sliding (S) Sliding Bypassing (SB) Sliding Wall (SW) Sliding Pocket (SP) Sliding Pocket Wall (SPW) Step 1 DETERMINE YOUR OPENING AND ITS DIMENSIONS Opening height is determined by measuring from the finished floor to top of level track. The top of leveled track is where you intend on screwing the track to, typically wood blocking. If surface mounting the tracks directly to the ceiling, make sure there is adequate support above. top of level track Sliding Wing Wall (SWW) Sliding Stacking Parallel & Pivot (SSPA & SSPAPV) Sliding Stacking Perpendicular & Pivot (SSPE & SSPEPV) Opening width is determined by measuring from finished wall to finished wall. No jamb or wall treatment is provided or necessary with Raydoor products. opening height Folding End (FE) Folding Center (FC) finished floor Pivoting (PV) Fixed (FX) opening width ADDRESS: 134 West 29th St. Sui te 909 New York, NY 10001 WEB: raydoor.com PHONE: 212.421.0641 FAX: 646.349.1856 E-MAIL: info@raydoor.com
THE RAYDOOR METHOD Step 5 OPTIONAL LATTICE DESIGNS Lattice types are determined by the number of bars used and by assembly complexity. Choose from our four types of optional lattice designs or send us a sketch of your custom ideas. All lattice designs are 1-1/4 standard and made of the same material as the frame permanently bonded to the front and back of the core layer. DRAW YOUR OWN: 96 84 72 60 Type 1 Any lattice design or pattern that uses one horizontal (or vertical) lattice bar. Specify the height and location in your drawing. LATTICE DIMENSIONS High quality laminate 48 36 24 12 Type 2 Any lattice design or pattern that uses two horizontal (or vertical) lattice bars. One bar can butt the other as shown. Specify height and location in your drawing. 0 0 12 24 36 48 60 0 72 Sample custom lattice design : Ex :Type 4 - Flo Pattern Type 3 Three to five lattice bars evenly spaced horizontally. Specify number of bars and note panel height will affect spacing. Real wood veneer Type 4 A limited set of intersecting or diagnal bars such as our signature Flo pattern which creates a kaleidoscopic effect when used with overlapping sliding panels. Type 5 - custom An array of horizontal, vertical or diagnal bars ie. evenly spaced to create a french door inspired lattice design. standard H1 H2 H3 H4 H5 ADDRESS: 134 West 29th St. Sui te 909 New York, NY 10001 WEB: raydoor.com PHONE: 212.421.0641 FAX: 646.349.1856 E-MAIL: info@raydoor.com
THE RAYDOOR METHOD Step 6 Flush Pull, RP-60 Optional turned stainless steel round pull for sliding panels. Flush Pull, OP-150 Optional brush stainless steel oval pull for sliding panels. Door Guide 106/N Used in conjunction with floor track, door guides help minimize flex and add panel stability. Floor Track Used with door guides. 3/4 square mill finish aluminum channel is flush mounted in the finished floor. Floor track is optional. Only recommended when panels are larger than 4ft. Finger Pull Comes with pocket & wing wall systems. Rectangular Pull Optional brush stainless steel rectangular pull for sliding panels. RD Wall Mount Bracket This bracket bolts to the top of our Standard RD track to allow track to be wall mounted. Bracket can be left exposed or hidden with trim fascia. Upgrade to the low-profile option (XRDLP) to reduce the gap between the bottom of the track & the top of the panel. Grey Floor Guide Surface mounted to the finished floor and used in all bypassing and wing wall systems to minimize panel sway and align doors. ADA Pull Handle 15 3/4 inch handicap compliant pull hardware can be added to sliding & pivoting systems. Giro Door Connector Used to join doors at the edge on the same plane. They can be used to make single doors act as one wider door. ADA Lock Suits most ADA compliant needs, some turn on one side coin release on the other. Available for Model 225/175. Flush Bolt & Dust Proof Strike Specially designed bolt extends 1-1/2 to help stabilize doors. Strike is flush with the top of finished floor. Spring loaded plate receives flush bolt throw and keeps dust out. Invisible Hinge Used on our folding doors. Hinge is not visible when doors are closed. Privacy Lock, KA Our most popular lock. Thumb turn on one side, emergency coin release on the other side. Available for Model 225/175. Privacy Lock, AGB Commonly used in key/key and key/thumb turn locking applications where increased security is required. Available for Model 225/175. Floor Strike Lock Comes with active and passive turns. Strikes to the floor.
