Bert Boxma Chemical Engineer Bsc. Leading Heat Exchanger Consultant, Discussion, Simulation Learning and many Practical exercises! Over 30 years of experience in heat exchanger CEO & President of Heat Transfer ABC B.V Been leading courses for more than 200 companies since year 2000 Expert in heat exchanger type selection, special thermal/hydraulic design, latest enhanced heat transfer technologies and governmental subsidy advices The founder and Chairman of the HTRI Communication Committee in Holland Major Heat Exchanger Projects Trouble Shooting experience for heavy fouling in Plate & Frame heat exchanger. Crude Oil Fouling experience using Helixchanger Technology. Design & engineering of an advanced helical baffle heat exchanger design for gas plant warming up cryogenic subcooled propane liquid with water avoiding freezing. Resolving fouling in an Economiser for an Air Liquification Plant. Testimonials Large amount of know-how and experience and very practical for the day to day work! Bert is able to make the right connection between the theory and practical issues of heat exchangers! Much know-how presented in an calm and orderly way with good examples! This is an expert and has many usefull examples! Happy to have had this lecture from expert Bert! Supported by

Masterclass Overview The need for proper energy management has considerably increased the importance of heat exchange equipment over the past 2-3 decades. Enormous costs are involved with heat exchanger fouling. Latest studies show that in highly industrialized countries total fouling costs are about 0,25% of Gross National Product. This training course is an introduction to the fouling mitigation technologies for heat exchangers like Shell & Tube heat exchangers, Air Cooled heat exchangers, and Compact Type heat exchangers. The course will provide details on the maintenance aspects of several heat exchanger types in relation to process and mechanical design. Many case studies will be presented to show failures, mismatches. The thermal and mechanical design aspect in relation to fouling behavior is conducted using sophisticated computer software based on HTRI software. Attendees will be offered problem case studies in order to reach solutions on their own. To get a full picture of proven (advanced) heat transfer technologies a training module for other types of heat exchangers is included. Besides Air Cooled we discuss Compact heat exchangers in more detail with all their pro s and con s and fouling mitigation behavior. Each attendee must bring a Laptop computer with Microsoft operating system and Scientific Calculator Masterclass Objectives For those engineers not familiar with fouling behavior in shell and tube heat exchangers, this course will provide a broad understanding of the technology and an excellent base for further learning. For those responsible for maintenance, the training is intended to illustrate the interaction between the thermal and mechanical design, the understanding of which will lead to more reliable design outcomes. For those coming from an operating environment, the course will lead to a greater knowledge of the maintenance, inspection and repair needs of shell and tube heat exchangers, including information on common causes of failure. Solutions will be offered using latest state of art technologies are used to prevent fouling, tube vibration and throughput limitations. Specially Designed for The course is designed for professionals who want to improve the performance of heat exchanger in their company for shell & tube and compact types Mechanical Engineer Design Engineer Maintenance Engineer Instrument Engineer Project Engineer Process Engineer Heat Transfer Engineer Plant Engineer Operation Engineer Petrosync Quality Limited Attendees The course has limited seats to ensure maximum learning and experience for all delegates. Certificate of Attendance You will receive a Certificate of Attendance bearing the signatures of the Trainer upon successful completion of the course. This certificate is proof of your continuing professional development. Interactive Training You will be attending a training designed to share both the latest knowledge and practical experience through interactive sessions. This will provide you with a deeper and more long-term understanding of your current issues. High Quality Course Materials Printed course manual will provide you with working materials throughout the course and will be an invaluable source of reference for you and your colleagues afterward. You can follow course progress on your laptop with soft copies provided.
