Ralph Haupter Corporate Vice President; Chairman & CEO, Greater China Microsoft Ralph Haupter currently serves as Corporate Vice President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft Greater China Region (GCR). Haupter is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Microsoft s business and investment in GCR and reports directly to the President of Microsoft International, Jean-Philippe Courtois. Haupter is a 10-year veteran at Microsoft and previously served as area vice president (AVP) of Microsoft Germany. He has also headed of the partner division for Europe, Middle East and Africa and held the general manager position of Microsoft s Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners Group for Western Europe, both based in Paris, and served as chief operating officer for Microsoft Germany before becoming the German AVP. Prior to joining Microsoft, Haupter served various positions in IBM in Germany and internationally. Born in Markdorf, Germany, Haupter received a bachelor s degree in engineering and a master s degree in 1992 and 1998, respectively. He is married with two children.
