EXECUTIVE TEAM JIM ESTILL President & CEO, Danby Appliances Jim Estill of Danby Appliances is a Canadian technology entrepreneur, executive, and philanthropist. Jim started a computer distribution business from the trunk of his car while in university. He turned that modest business into a company doing $350,000,000 in sales before selling to SYNNEX in 2004. He then became CEO of SYNNEX Canada and grew sales from $800,000,000 to $2 Billion over five years. Jim is active on various boards and was a founding board member of Research in Motion/Blackberry, before the company went public. In 2016 & 2017 Jim made the news for his sponsorship efforts to settle 58 refugee families. The Financial Times, Guardian, and Life all covered his story. You can follow Jim on his blog.com, which documents his philosophies on leadership and time management. Jim was awarded the Order of Ontario, the provinces highest honour, in 2017. He is also a multiple recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
EXECUATIVE TEAM ANDREW RAYMOND, CPA, C.A. CFO, Danby Appliances Andrew Raymond joined Danby Appliances Group in 2013 and served as Corporate Controller. He was appointed CFO Finance in 2017. In this role, he is responsible for financial governance and reporting, treasury and capital management, corporate development, forecasting, cost control and profitability, and taxation across the Danby Appliances group of companies. Andrew combines business and financial knowledge with superior team building skills and integrity to drive performance and achieve results. Andrew graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in 1997. He then joined Deloitte & Touche LLP and obtained his Chartered Accountant Designation in 2000. At Deloitte Andrew managed the external audits of both private and public companies in the manufacturing and service industry for thirteen years. Andrew went on to work for Royal Group Technologies for three years in a Director of Credit and Collections role before joining Danby Appliances Group.
THE HISTORY OF DANBY 1947 1950 1966 1970 1981 1992 1994 Danby is founded as a family owned manufacturer of small electrical appliances in Montréal, Québec, Canada. In the late 1950 s Danby expands it s manufacturing base to include electrical ranges and compact refrigerators. Danby expands Canada to extended line of compact refrigerators imported from abroad. Danby acquired by Warrington Products Inc., with primary ownership controlled by CEMP Investments, a wholly owned subsidiary of Seagrams International. Danby reacquired as a private family business retaining key management, relocating to Guelph, Ontario providing a domestic manufacturing base to complement the technical development of products made in overseas manufacturing operations. Danby Products Ltd. opens U.S. home office in Findlay, Ohio. Danby Products Ltd. opens & operates U.S. distribution facility located in Jacksonville, FL.

Sales exceed $200M for the first time in the company s history. Danby purchases Intirion in Foxboro, Massachusetts, helping to expand the business into new markets. 2012 Danby s 65th Danby also opens a sourcing office in Guangzhou, China -product development and quality. 2015 2016 2017 Danby opens Outlet Store in Guelph, ON.
