Now just where did those last 3 month go? Term 2 for us began and finished with a frenzy of phone calls and Facebook messages for our new mystery block of the month Feels Like Home designed by Libby Richardson. Now taking phone calls is just one thing, but behind the scenes there is all the cutting, folding and packing of the fabrics to be sent out each month. If you saw this in the newsletter last month and considered taking part in this mystery quilt it s not too late. We are expecting our 5th shipment of fabrics due in late July and we are still taking sign ups. See page 2 for more details. We are very excited to have Libby Richardson joining us in August teaching her beautiful technique of hand painting her designs to add more colour and texture to her stitcheries. These classes are being held in our classroom for two workshops so numbers will be limited. More details are inside the newsletter on page 3 We also have another new BOM to offer you called Nancy s Fancy which is more of a geometric design which is well suited to a man in your life. The fabrics we have chosen are browns, creams and teals, and are a marbleised fabric. More information inside on page 2 As we sit and write this edition we are still waiting for our daughters new baby (grandchild 3) to arrive. Be assured we will put information on our shops Facebook page and in the shop when bub arrives. July will also see us back at the Sewing, Stitching and Handcraft show. We will be in the same position as last year on stand S185. Please stop by and say hi. July 2nd is a big milestone for Jen and I as it is our 10th anniversary of owning Patchwork By Sea and we are just so excited. It has been a roller coaster of ups and down, but we are blessed to have made so many friends. We will be holding a 10th Anniversary sale to celebrate, and yes there is more information inside. We hope that where ever you may be, you have a wonderful day. Hugz Jen & Terry Workshops and photos are shown on pages 4 & 5 We are looking forward to two new gatherings starting in term 3. There will be a monthly Friday meeting for the Splendid Sampler and then a bimonthly Saturday meeting for anyone taking part in the Feels Like Home block of the month. Our Melbourne Cup quilt day is on again this year being held on Tuesday 7th November. Bookings are now being taken for this fun day. The Sewing Stitching and Handcrafts show is on again this July in the Goyder Pavilion at the Royal Adelaide Showground. This year will is also being held in conjunction with the Guilds Festival of Quilts. We will be there on stand S185.
